Summary
The Legend of Zeldais arguably Nintendo’s crown jewel and one of the most enjoyable and popular game series ever. The Zelda games have everything from a gripping narrative to engaging characters you love or hate based on their intentions.
Ganon is the evil and final boss in most fan-favorite Zelda games, and he would need to be perfectly cast for The Legend of Zelda movie. The character, while evil through and through, is complex, so the actor playing him would need to have the acting prowess to display Ganon’s depth.

8Christopher Judge
Kratos
Christopher Judge is most notably known for voicing Kratos in theGod of Warseries. The actor has showcased his skills inbringing to life a powerful and intimidating character, which is why he could potentially become a great Ganon. His most imposing aspect is his deep voice, which would be perfect for the persona of The Legend of Zelda’s antagonist.
Christopher Judge is also a towering figure whose stature matchesthe height of the evil giant Ganon. The Gerudo King is said to be as tall as two Links standing on top of each other, which imposes fear into the hearts of opponents. The actor ticks all the boxes and should be able to play the Gerudo warlord with ease.

7Mark Strong
Matai Shang
Mark Strong isn’t your typical villain as he doesn’t rely on brute force to accomplish his goals. This is why he could bring a different perspective to Ganon, where the demon king uses words more than his fists. That’s not to say the actor can’t do action scenes, but his silver tongue could be his most powerful weapon.
This would bring a breath of fresh air into the character, as while Ganon is thought of as a monster willing to do anything to get his way, he is also cunning. Mark Strong could appropriately display this nature of Ganon. The actor played a similar role in John Carter where he was Matai Shang, the leader of the Thern.

6Ralph Fiennes
Voldemort
Who better to play the evil Gerudo warlord than the actor who portrayed the Olympian god of the Underworld, Hades, in the Clash of the Titans movie series? While that may be a role you remember Ralph Fiennes for, he has one of the most impressive careers as an evil character. Portraying everything from evil humans to superhumans in their quests for powers.
One of his best-known and memorable roles is the portrayal of the Dark Lord, Voldemort. The skin-curling fear Ralph Fiennes caused among viewers in this role displays how perfectly he could portray Ganon. The actor’s experience with villainous roles and acting chops could allow him to add more depth to the complex Ganon.

5Ron Perlman
Hellboy
Heavy makeup or CGI will likely be used to ensure an actor gets the trueGanon appearancebecause of how he looks. Ron Perlman has significant experience in both departments. The actor has played the role of Beast in Beauty and the Beast in the TV show and Hellboy in movies.
The actor’s commitment to looking like his character displays that he could put on the Ganondorf persona with ease. Ron Perlman could play a more serious version of the Gerudo King or add some of his unique humor depending on the script’s demand. One of the most loved aspects of this actor is his voice. It’s significantly unique and adds more depth to the characters he plays.

4Winston Duke
M’Baku
M’Baku, the leader of the Jabari tribe from the MCU, is a force to be reckoned with, even if the character isn’t depicted as evil. However, you may only imagine how much damage he’d cause if he went rogue. Winston Duke is most known for his role in the MCU but has taken on unique parts, such as Gabe and Abraham in Us. The movie shows humans being slaughtered by their doppelgängers, proving Winston Duke can play a terrifying villain.
Winston Duke would make the perfect Ganon with his large stature and could also play the cunning Ganondorf with his unique wit. His physique makes him powerful and Ganon’s monster form would be a sight to behold. While most actors will likely play tame but cunning versions of the antagonist, Winston can perfectly highlight Ganon’s battle-hardened side.

3Djimon Hounsou
Korath
Djimon Hounsou isn’t a new name in Hollywood since he has starred in massive box office hits such as Gladiator and Blood Diamonds. He’s played varying roles throughout his career, including in the fantasy genre. The actor portrayed Korath in the MCU and the Wizard in DCEU’s Shazam, showing both evil and heroic sides to his roles in the superhero genre.
Djimon Hounsou has a tall and imposing figure, which is a necessity for the Gerudo King. Paired with his action prowess, it could make for an amazing Ganondorf. The actor could prove to be the best choice if the live-action movie adapts Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker. After all, Ganon’s human form has a similar stature to Djimon Hounsou.

2Jason Momoa
Aquaman
Jason Momoa is known as DC’s Aquaman, but one of his most famous roles is still Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones. The actor’s powerful physique and charming personality display the contrast between Ganon and Ganondorf. He could easily become the more animalistic monster Ganon or talk his way into becoming the king of Hyrule’s most trusted advisor.
Jason Momoa has taken on the role of a villain, Dante Reyes, in Fast X, displaying that he has the acting prowess tobecome the evil Gerudo King. The actor’s portrayal of Khal Drogo’s primal nature shows he could make for an amazing Ganon.

1Idris Elba
Heimdall
Idris Elba has the commanding stature and presence of Ganondorf. A look from the actor and Princess Zelda and Link will start shivering. The actor has dabbled in the MCU as Heimdall and DCEU as Bloodsport, so he has experience with the fantasy genre. Elba played a villain named Brixton Lore in Hobbs & Shaw, so he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.
Idris Elba has also appeared in the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog universe as Knuckles. He has intimidation and cunningness, two of the most important elements needed to portray Ganondorf. The actor can easily keep the king under his influence and make Link back away in fear.
