Summary

We got a bunch of information about current and future projects at theStar WarsCelebration 2025. Darth Maul is getting his own animated series,Cal Kestis returns in action figure form with his optional mullet, and Anakin Skywalker will appear once again in season 2 of Ahsoka.

While there’s limited information about most of these things for now, we have learnt that one of the most brilliant strategic minds in the galaxy will be returning to combat Grand Admiral Thrawn in the second season of Ahsoka. It’s going to be a battle of the minds, now that Thrawn has returned to the main Star Wars Galaxy.

Admiral Ackbar Star Wars

The Force Has No Place Here

Known for his victory in the Battle of Endor in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and identifying traps, Admiral Ackbar played a pivotal role in ending the reign of the Empire. Now, with the last vestiges of the Empire returning, it seems the Mon Calamari will have to return to the bridge of the New Republic’s flagship.

During a panel for the show at the Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni himself confirmed that Ackbar will return. “He’s going to go head to head with Thrawn,” he said (thanks,GamesRadar). Looks like we’re going to see some epic maneuvers and fleet battles in season two, while Ahsoka herself tries to figure out a way back to her own galaxy.

Season two will pick up after Thrawn figures out a way to return to the canon Star Wars galaxy. Ahsoka and Sabine follow Morgan Elsbeth to the new galaxy to stop Thrawn’s return and find Ezra. However, Thrawn, as usual, outmaneuvers them and leaves Ahsoka stranded on the mysterious planet. It seems we will also learn more about the father, son, and daughter, who are representatives of the Force.

In other Star Wars news,we also got a proper look at Respawn and Bit Reactor’s Zero Company. It’s a turn-based tactics game where you’ll be able to command your own strike team, made up of members of different factions, including a Jedi, a Mandalorian, and a Clone, amongst others.
