Wuthering Wavesoften features a massive event where players can participate to earn a lot of rewards. These events are usually tied to the game’s main story, so you often have to finish or at least reach a certain point of the story to activate them.
Winds of the Past is one such event in the game that was released alongside the version update 2.2. If you’re unsure of how to complete the event or are looking to finish it quickly to collect all the rewards, here’s a detailed guide that will cover all the necessary aspects surrounding the event.
Winds Of The Past Event Eligibility
Winds of the Past istied to the main story of version 2.2, which isThe Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier. You have to reach the region calledThe Avinoleum to unlock the event, but that will give you access only to the first part of it.
You will have togo through the entire story questif you want to complete all parts of the event and collect the rewards. There is no way to skip the story either since the event includes parts of The Avinoleum region that you may only reach by progressing the main quest.
Winds Of The Past Event Guide
Winds of the Past is divided into three main parts:Journey Through the Pilgrim’s Path, Revisiting the Sacred Venue, and Unveiling of the Dawn. Each of these has smaller tasks that have their own requirements that you need to complete to receive the rewards.
Journey Through The Pilgrim’s Path
This event is divided into five different tasks, each of which can be completed as you progress through The Avinoleum.
Description
Reach Avinoleum in the sky
The first task can be completed simply by progressing the story.
Spend the first night in Avinoleum
This task is also completed as part of the story. This is considered complete when youdeposit the first sword Tryvine on the pedestal, and you are asked to rest for the night and progress to the next sword on the next day.
Complete Echo Challenge: Flight once in Avinoleum: Ground Remains
you may reach the location by simply clicking proceed on the event page, and the game will guide you to the exact spot.
This challenge is pretty simple, as all you have to do ispass through a couple of checkpoints similar to the flying Echo challengesin the rest of Rinascita. Once you reach the final checkpoint, the challenge will be considered complete.
Complete Treasure Spot Challenge Two
You need tolocatefour chests in the marked location. Use your scanner to locate the chests, as they are very easy to find since all of them are placed in an enclosed space and are hard to miss.
Complete Flash Dodge Two
You can reach this by simply clicking proceed, as the game will direct you to the location.
This challenge is pretty simple, as you will have tostand on a platform where lightning will strike, and you need to dodgeit to the best of your ability. Once you successfully dodge all the lightning and the timer runs out, you will receive the reward.
When you reach the Flash Dodge Two challenge, you will have to defeat a few enemies before the challenge shows up. So if you’re able to’t find it, don’t panic, just defeat the enemies.
Treasure Spot Challenge Two Guide
This challenge isn’t the hardest, but it might still be difficult when you are trying to hurry through it. Before starting the challenge,make sure you have the Scanner equipped. The first chest is at the very bottom of the broken tower, where you will come across a few enemies.Defeat the enemies, and the first chest will unlockright where you fight the enemies.
Trigger the scanner and look up for the second cheston the first floor of the broken tower. Once you reach the first floor and open the first chest,trigger the Scanner again, and look up once more while standing at the location of the second chest.
Upon doing that,both the third and fourth chests will be pointedout at the top of the broken tower.
Revisiting The Sacred Venue
This event is also divided into five tasks similar to the first one, and you need to complete them individually to receive all the rewards.
Spend the second night in Avinoleum
This is tied to the story, and you need todeposit the second sword called Hognis,to complete it.
Complete Cloud Platformer Once
you may reach this by clicking proceed on the event screen.
This challenge is like aMetroidvania platformer where you have to walk on a cloudin a 2D setting. However,there are no puzzles. All you have to do is keep running through the platforms and, when needed, use your Grapple ability to pass the gaps.
Complete Flash Dodge One
Similar to Flash Dodge Two from Journey Through the Pilgrim’s Path, where you need tododge a couple of lightning boltsand keep doing it until the timer runs out. Once the timer is done and you have dodged through enough lightning, you receive the reward.
Complete the Dream Patrol Challenge of Avinoleum Dreamscape Nexus
This is a combat challenge where you have todefeat waves of enemies while defending a nexusin the middle. The nexus needs to be maintained at aminimum of 60 percent integrityso that you’re able to receive the full rewards. You will face five waves of enemies, including some basic mobs from Rinascita and a few knights.
Complete the Overflowing Palette near the Hall of Swordsmanship
This challenge is similar to every other Overflowing Palette you must have come across in Rinascita, where you need toget all the blocks to the same colour within a limited number of moves. In this particular one, you need to take all of them to yellow within four moves.
Overflowing Palette near the Hall of Swordsmanship Guide
Your objective for this Palette is to fill all the blocks with yellowwithin four moves.To start,turn the blue blocks on the top-half of the screen to green. Then, click on the green blocks to turn all of them to red.
Finally,click on the blue blocks at the bottom and turn them to redas well. Finally,click on any one red block and turn it to yellowto complete the challenge.
Return to Porto-Veno Castle and find Canterella
Complete the main story quest,The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crierand talk to Canterella in the end.
Complete Boat Racing One
The objective of this event is very simple: you need touse the gondolato pass through checkpointsand reach the finish line.
You can reach the location by clicking proceed on the event tab, and the game will guide you to the location.
Complete Ace Wings Two
This challenge is very similar to the previous Flight Echo challenge from Journey Through Pilgrim’s Path, except here, you need touse the Flight skill to chase a sparkwhile passing through certain checkpoints.
Complete the Challenge in the hidden area in “Should the Shooting Stars Blaze”
This is tied to aquest called Should the Shooting Stars Blaze, but all you need to do is proceed through it, and eventually, you will come acrossa challenge similar to Ace Wingswhere you need to follow a spark while using the Flight skill.
The quest location can be reached by simply clicking proceed on the event page.
Defeat Coercitors: The Verdict
Here you will fight a level 120 boss called Coercitors: The Verdict. Defeating it will complete the challenge. Thebest team for this is Carlotta, Canterella, and Shorekeeperwhere you will get both damage as well as sufficient healing.
The boss is a combination of one big enemy with a sword and two bow users. While the movesets aren’t anything special, you will have dodge its attacks, else you will die very easily, even with level 90 characters.
While the one with the sword will die only once, the ones using bows will respawn until the main HP bar at the top of your screen is gone. The bow ones hit very hard, but they also have less HP than the one with the sword. Just keep dodging and spam Shorekeeper’s ultimate as much as possible. If you have well built characters, the fight will be complete in no time.
