There are a lot of combinations that you can make with towers inNordhold, and some towers just work great with others. For example, the Shadow Tower works well with almost any other tower because it weakens the enemy. You can combine two towers to defend your base, and the game can reward you with it.
If you have two towers in the game that are compatible with each other, then you can get a Fusion between them. This mechanic can be easily missed by most players, but it’s a powerful way to make both towers stronger with just one banner.

How To Get Fusion Banners
If you’ve tried to do single-tower runs and got far enough, you will know about Unique Banners, which affect one tower and change how it works.Fusion Banners are the same, but they affect two towers. Each tower type can have a Fusion Banner with 3 other tower types.
To get a Fusion banner, you will need to have at least two tower types builtand verify they are compatible. After building those towers, you’ll then need to get several banners for each type, usually 3, to get a Fusion Banner.

You can see how many banners you need and what tower types can have a fusion banner by hovering on the question mark or banners on the lower left.
Unlike Unique Banners, which often work with any other banners,Fusion Banners work best with specific banners for each tower type. For example, the Corpse Explosion banner transfers bleed stacks to other enemies, which means you’ll need the Barbed Arrow banner to make use of it.

Arrow Tower Fusion Banners
The first tower you get and the most straightforward of the bunch. It’s difficult to do a single-tower build with this without any unlocks, so it’s good to pair it with another tower.
Volcano Mortar Tower Fusion Banners
The Volcano Mortar is a great AOE tower that can deal a ton of damage. It’s paired with towers that deal great single-target damage or with other AOE towers like the Arc Tower.
Arc Tower Fusion Banners
One of the easiest towers to do a single-tower run, it gets even better with additional towers to fuse with.
Raven Tower Fusion Banners
The Raven Tower is a slow-firing, high-damage tower that works well with other tower builds but works best with the three below.
Frost Tower Fusion Banners
This is a tower that slows targets down and is great when paired with low-range or low-attack-speed towers.
Rune Stone Tower Fusion Banners
This tower has the smallest range out of all of them, so it needs to be paired with other towers to remedy that.
Tornado Tower Fusion Banners
The Tornado Tower is another AOE tower that pairs well with single-target towers like the Raven Tower.
Shadow Tower Fusion Banners
The Shadow Tower fits well with any tower combination but is best with the three below.
