The world of Demon Slayer is beautiful and grim in equal measure, so you have to take your fun moments wherever you can, right? So we will once again drop into the universe of one of your favoriteanimeand figure out which characters are your zodiac signs.
So, which character best fits your sign? Do you think we hit the mark, or are we way off base with who we’ve gone with? Astrology can be a fickle practice, and not all pieces fit where you want, so not everyone may feel like they fit with the character they find. Still, it should be a fun break in between hunting some demons, right?
Shockingly, there aren’t any Aries characters in the series! So, instead, we’ll look at an April Taurus and a May Taurus and celebrate the differences between them (yes, there are plenty).
12Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - Inosuke Hashabira

Did you know there are two sides to every sign, depending on which month they were born under their sign? Despite the two months being under the same sign, each month is technically ruled by different planets. Other factors go into determining this, but that’s for another day. April Taureans are far removed from the stoic personality we’ve become accustomed to hearing about in general.
This is why it makes perfect sense that Inosuke embodies the wildly confident horns of the bull sign. He doesn’t back down from a challenge, will protect and avenge his friends until his body gives out (and maybe not even then), and has an indomitable will that can never be toppled. He is an exemplary example of an April Taurus.
11Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - Kyojuro Rengoku
Birthday: May 10
On the flip side of that Taurean coin, you have the traits that Taureans are known for: stoic, protectors, and disciplined almost to a fault. Some people would consider them stubborn, but that’s what resilience can look like for those who aren’t prepared for what discipline looks like.
When thinking of Taurus, Kyojuro Rengoku doesn’t exactly fit the embodiment of what it means to be a Taurus. He lives brightly and loudly, of course, but when it comes to training and protecting not only his friends but also the Demon Corps, he is quick to throw his life on the line to do so, at a sobering cost. The Demon Corps lost a real one with him.
10Gemini (May 21 - June 20) - Mitsuri Kanroji
Birthday: June 1
Dual signs are tricky. They can have several conflicting traits that can make them seem duplicitous, and none seem to get the same flack as Gemini! Maybe it’s the fact that their sign is the physical embodiment of twins, but the mystery won’t be solved. Instead, let’s introduce our Hashira of Love and our representation of the sign of duality, Mitsuri Kanroji!
When you first meet her, she will steal your heart with her big smile and bright blue eyes. Sure, she joined the Demon Corps to find a husband who was stronger than her, but that doesn’t mean she’d shirk her duties!She is sunshine in a bottle until she is face to face with demons. Then, she flips the other side of her Gemini coin and shows those demons pure pain.
9Cancer (June 21 - July 22) Tanjiro Kamado
Birthday: July 14
Depending on who you ask, Cancer folks are the bleeding heart of the Zodiac signs. They are attuned to their feelings as well as the feelings of others and can use that to their advantage if you let them. Luckily, loyalty and kindness tend to be their most defining traits, so long as you don’t anger them.
Tanjiro is quick to take out a demon, but even in death, he will listen to their story and ferry their souls to a place where they can be themselves before they succumb to becoming the demons they are. He leads with empathy and sees the kindness within even the foulest of creatures,just as long as they leave his sister alone.
8Leo (July 23 - Aug 22) - Muichiro Tokito
Birthday: August 8
You’ve heard the stereotype by now: Leo peeps are not only the center of attention, but they demand it or else! Except that’s not only a huge exaggeration, but it’s unfair to Leo folk everywhere. Is it their fault that people just gravitate around them naturally? They can’t help their natural charisma.
Yet, not all Leos shine with the brightness of the sun; some move under the cover of mist. Tokito’s personality can come off as quiet and generally uncaring except when it comes to Tanjiro, but when it comes to fighting, he’s second to none and has received attention from powerful allies and enemies alike.
7Virgo (August 23 - Sept 22) Zenitsu Agatsuma
Birthday: September 3
Careful. Methodical. Doesn’t leave anything to change: the typical Virgo, no matter which month they’re born in, is used to being in control of the situation at all times. What situation? Any they find themselves in, of course. you’re able to’t talk about being neat and orderly without mentioning this sign.
By that same token, there isn’t anything neat and orderly about anything Zenitzu does by any measure. He’s cowardly, loud, and chaotic, at least on the surface. What drives Zenitzu is the desire to shed these, what he perceives as negative attributes, to become the warrior and man he wants to be for his future wife. He does, but it comes at a great cost. And while he doesn’t completely shed his boisterous volume, he grows into himself and becomes a great fighter.
6Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22) - Obanai Iguro
Birthday: September 15
Libra tends to err on the side of fairness and prefers to be the mediator when it comes to disputes between friends or loved ones. They don’t like to be the subject of or the witness to fights or grudges because they value peace and logic above all else.
That being said, we’ve run into that type of character where just because they have a birthday within a sign doesn’t mean they share any of their attributes. Obanai is brash and unforgiving and holds grudges for his entire family, including himself. You can’t win them all, right?
5Scorpio (October 23 - Nov 21) - Tengen Uzui
Birthday: November 29
Fine, we’re going to go for the low-hanging fruit here. Yes, Scorpios are infamous for being adept paramour and passionate about the lives that they live. That passion can quickly turn to anger or jealousy if you cross a Scorpio, so loyalty is a must if you plan to enter a relationship with these passionate lovers.
Tengen has plenty of love to give! He loves his troops, even as he claims to be their god, he loves his former master and, of course, he loves all three of his wives equally. Filled to the brim with passion, Tengen can match his passion only with his martial prowess in battle, something he misses once he retires.
4Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21) - Sanemi Shinazugawa
If a Sagittarius hears a call to adventure, you can guarantee they’ll answer the call. Asking them to sit still is like asking them to die a slow death. The call for adventure is just far too strong! Due to this flighty nature, Sag folks have a hard time committing to events and people as well. If you aren’t one for travel and adventure, you may as well put up a wall.
If a hot-headed temper were to manifest in a person, it would be Sanemi. After first meeting him, he stabbed Nezuko’s hiding box and tempted her to eat him to prove that she was nothing more than her base instincts just so he could take her out. Luckily, that didn’t happen. Emotionally volatile, he doesn’t let anyone get close to him out of fear of losing them.
3Capricorn (December 22 - Jan 19) - Nezuko Kamado
Birthday: December 28
The Capricorn sign is the person sitting quietly on the couch at the zodiac house party. You know them, and they are cool, but they aren’t going to be the life of the party dancing in the middle of the floor. Instead, they are the ones who will ensure you get home safely at the end of the night. Reliable and patient to the end.
Nezuko has nothing but time on her hands once she’s been turned into a demon. It’s not like she can be out in the sun, so all she can do is wait inside her box. As far as the bigger picture, while strong as a demon with an incredible will not eat humans, she has incredible patience that allows her to wait until she’s able to return to being a human as soon as she can. A defining trait of Capricorn.
