To celebrate the release of A Minecraft Movie, a range of toys have been launched at McDonalds. Unexpectedly, adults can also get in on the fun this time, as the toys are not just given away with Happy Meals. There are 18 Minecraft-themed toys in total but spread across two different meal types: Happy Meals and Minecraft-themed adult meals.
No matter if you like the limited-edition Nether Flame sauce or not, the fact that you can get a Big Mac, nine chicken nuggets or a veggie burger with your Minecraft toy is welcome news for those of us who love to collect toys and eat fast food in adult-sized portions. However, it does mean you may be buying a lot of burgers to get all 18.

In the UK, Happy Meal toys are being released at a rate of one figure and one block with a figure per week throughout April and the beginning of May. The adult toys appear to all be available now and distributed at random. They are sealed blind boxes, so you have to take your chances.
18Evoker
Happy Meal
While these Evokers are a faithful rendition of the Minecraft mob, we have to rank them low on our list due to the fact they absolutely terrify us. They may drop the incredibly useful Totem of Undying, but the real question is, how many times do you have to die to get one?
For those of us not blessed with the skills to craft raid farms, Evokers normally evoke nothing but memories of running screaming through a woodland mansion shouting “I just wanted some books!” Or is that just us?

17Grass Block And Llama
Grass blocks and llamas are both a staple of Minecraft and, while both hold a special place in our hearts, they are also quite dull, especially when compared to the rest of the line-up on offer.
Also, you do have to account forthe Wandering Trader’s llamaswho get quite upset when you need to ‘send him away’. Look, it’s not our fault that Wandering Traders who get in the way while we are building end up accidentally falling off things, or having lava spilled on them. It’s a hazard they should have considered. Someone tell the llamas they don’t need to spit at us for it.

16Skeleton
Somehow this skeleton has managed to look even more terrifying than those ones who hide under trees and jump out with their bows when you are on half a heart. How did this even happen?
Sorry my skeletal friend, but I can’t get on board with this whole eerie look which vaguely resembles an Iron Golem cosplay on a budget. Are you feeling ok?

15Stone Block And Garrett
In the movie trailer, Garrett, played by Jason Mamoa, looks like a lot of fun and his incredible outfit is one of the highlights of his appearance. However, the sheer energy we see there just can’t be replicated in plastic brick forms.
Not only is his shine dulled by the muted colours, but Garrett has been put inside the stone brick, another very dull Minecraft block on a par with grass. What did he do to end up here?

14Gold Block And Dawn
Another figure in a block, we’re not feeling this one of Dawn, played by Danielle Brooks, either. You just can’t capture the essence of the humans in the movie in a tiny block. She’s small, and she’s in a block. Woot?
In good news, at least Dawn gets a gold block. It’s a nice vibrant upgrade from Garrett’s stone offering and her outfit is brighter. Maybe the creators just aren’t fans of Aquaman.

13Big Mac Crystal
Adult Meal
We’re into the big boys now with this Big Mac Crystal, which has an accompanying description claiming it is “mined from a sea of special sauce.” Now I’m not sure about you, but even with the additional details about “radiant melty cheese” didn’t help me get past the slightly unnerving “special sauce” reference.
The adult meal toys come with a code for an in-game Minecraft skin, redeemable in Bedrock Edition. Each skin relates to the toy itself.

Also, it’s just a block. True, it’s a Big Mac as well, but we are still in pretty dull territory here. Even the skin which comes with it is one of the most boring offerings. Sorry Big Mac, but Minecraft is about imagination and this just lacks it in comparison.
12Soda Potion
The soda edges out the Big Mac Block here on account of at least being a unique shape. The toy looks better from a distance, and, while also very boring, at least has connotations of potions and brews, as well as soda.
This offering is still pretty bland, but there is something uniquely bizarre and fun about running around Minecraft dressed as a giant bottle of soda. I suspect it’s because the Big Mac guy gives us Skibidi Toilet vibes, and we’re far too old to want to go down that rabbit hole.

11Redstone Block And Creeper
The pairing of Redstone block and Creeper is already iconic. Creepers just love to destroy things and Redstone seems to draw them in. They love to get rightinto the workings of any contraptionbefore they go boom.
However, the important thing about Creepers is that they can be foiled far more easily than Evokers. This means the experience feels more satisfying than terrifying. Plus, creepers drop gunpowder so we can blow things up ourselves. They are surely the most iconic and lovable hostile mob and this cute cube is a nice reflection of that.

10Pink Wool Block And Pink Sheep
Spotting a pink sheep in the wild is always fun. No matter how long you’ve been playing Minecraft, they are still rare enough for a sighting in-game to evoke enormous joy.
Pink sheep make us happy. Pink wool makes us happy. This cute block combo makes us happy. Here’s to hoping this one is easier to find than those in the game.

9Wolf
Wolves are incredible. Once tamed, they are the most loyal mob in the game, and they have got your back. Wolf armies are incredibly overpowered and wandering around with one can leave you feeling invincible.
Also, care is easy since they eat pretty much anything, and while technically giving them food after taming is entirely optional, it is incredibly satisfying. Wolves deserve to be recognised as Minecraft’s goodest boys.
