While looking out for ruins, relics, and secrets left over by previous societies, Yumia always stumbles upon others asking for help inAtelier Yumia: The Alchemist Of Memories & The Envisioned Land. Be it someone running from a hideous monster or an Expedition Team member asking for something, she always tries to help them.

These efforts aren’t for nothing, as there are always some nice rewards from these small events. They keep happening during the field on the Aladiss Continent, and can help you find some of the ingredients you need for your Recipes, or even boost your Skill Points.

Random Events, Explained

Random Events, true to their name, happen randomly while you’re exploring the open field. They are all about Yumia and her team interacting with nature or lending a hand to someone in need. They usuallytake less than a minute to complete, and are constantly happening as you advance your exploration.

They pop up at a random chance whenever you’re visiting certain zones. You always get a tutorial screen the first time you find one of these events, butsubsequent events must be noticed on your own. They all have their own indicators, with some being clearer than others. Random Eventscannot happen inside Manabound areas, but can trigger there once they’re cleared.

Random Eventsalways happen in the same locations, but at a random chance. If you find an event next to a Fast Travel point, it may or may not happen again the next time you head there.

You get small rewards for completing these events, as well as some extra Experience if you have to defeat monsters on the way. Some of them are thebest ways of getting certain resources such as Particles, so it’s important to take part in at least a few of them regularly.

All Random Events, Listed

There’s a total offive different Random Events that can be triggered. As they happen in fixed locations, you may always attempt to force them to trigger by walking nearby their areas, but the spawn is never guaranteed.

Chasing Monsters

While roaming around the fields, sometimes you’ll see an Expedition Team Member running from feral monsters. Defeat the monsters and speak with the member to claim your reward. You usually get Cloth materials from these. The monster can be any regular spawn from that area, but has nothing special in particular.

There’s no dialogue box or indication for this event. Fortunately,it shouldn’t be hard to notice someone running in circles, especially if there’s also a monster trying to eat them. you’re able to also pay attention to the map.If you see an NPC icon (the dialogue box) moving fast, they’re likely being chased.

Random Quests

After clearing Manabound areas, some NPCs in the region start giving you quests. These are all small tasks with little to no depth, ranging from defeating monsters or delivering simple items to the quest giver.Once they’re completed, they become Random Quests and can be repeated.

They are marked with the yellow quest icon on the map. Once they appear, they won’t go away until you complete them. When cleared, new quests (or the same ones) will appear after a few in-game days. Their rewards are usuallySkill Points,so they’re a good source for those.

Gifting Albers

There are many Albers that you can stumble across while roaming the continent, and you can interact with them. They’re marked with a paw icon on the map,and are usually found next to forests or similar areas.

Speaking with them gives you random materialsfor your Recipes. This material is, most of the time, a new item from a region you haven’t explored yet. This canhelp you unlock some Recipes earlier than intended, even if the chance of getting the right material you need is low.

Whenever you visit a new location, the Alber’s hat color and possible gifts will change. You meet Green-Hatted Albers in Ligneus, then Purple-Hatted Albers in Sivash, and so on.

Dialogue and rewards from Green-Hatter Albers changedepending on if you’re meeting them during the day or night. They will still be in the same places regardless of the time.

Mana Geysers

One of the most common Random Events, Mana Geysers are natural formations filled with Mana that can be sensed from afar.Interacting with them rewards you with Particles, which are necessary for learning and upgrading your Recipes at the Atelier.

A blue line appears to guide you to the Geyser. One of the party members also says a voice line about something being around that area. Whenever you hear this, look for the blue line to find the Geyser.

The Particles you get depend on your current area and region. Rivers tend to give you more Ice Particles, for example. You need tons of Particles to fully enhance your Recipes, so anything you can get your hands on will be helpful.

Mana Rift Crystals

Alongside Mana Geysers, you can also find Mana Rift Crystals.Interacting with them triggers a fight against monsters from the nearby areas, rewarding the party with more Particles and Trait Crystals. Fights have difficulty levels, and the rewards scale with them. Harder fights tend to have more enemies.

Rift Crystals appear marked with a red line(similar to Mana Geysers' blue line), so follow it to find them. There’s no voiceline associated with them, though. Running away from this battle will cause the Crystal to vanish.

Gigantic Creatures

Exclusive to Sivash, you can sometimes find enormous monsters around this region. They’re completely inoffensive, though, and have asmall chance of appearing once you clear a Manabound areaand start building a base around it.

Whenever you spot those huge creatures, consider yourself lucky. They increase the rarity and quality of collectible items nearby, so take this chance to fill your bag with better-than-usual materials. These encounters are particularly useful after unlocking some of the rank-increasing upgrades in the Exploration Skill Tree.
