Solo Leveling is an action anime that deserves all the popularity and praise it gets. It focuses on the growth and character development of Sung Jin Woo as he evolved from a weak hunter to one of the strongest around. The Hunters in the association are tasked with protecting humanity by defeating the monsters residing in the dungeons.
The battles are intense, and many hunters also lose their lives during the process. However, instead of dying, Sung Jin Woo gets new abilities that are a mystery to even the association. There are only a few anime that handle these themes as well as Solo Leveling, but they are worth checking out if you want to watch something similar.

8Demon Slayer
One of the reasons you may enjoy Solo Leveling is the willpower of Sung Jin Woo. Tanjiro, who is the protagonist of Demon Slayer is similar in that regard, as to avenge his family, he trains himself to control his breathing form and becomes stronger progressively across the anime.
Among the Demon Slayer Corps, there are powerful demon slayers called the Hashira. They all possess unique abilities and immense strength. Their battles with the upper moon demons are intense and visually pleasing to look at due to theirexcellent animation.

7Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo Ghoul is a dark seinen anime that focuses on the conflict between humans and ghouls. Both sides are training their best to survive and protect their kind. As they get stronger, they also climb above the ranks.
There is an association called Aogiri for the ghouls, and CCG is a military group created by the humans to get rid of the ghouls. There is a focus on both organizations and Kaneki has been a part of both worlds as a half-ghoul.

6Attack On Titan
Eren Jaeger joins the Survey Corps in an attempt to take revenge on the Titans who caused his family’s demise. They risk their lives every day to go beyond the walls to defeat the enemies that threaten the humanity that once felt safe behind the walls.
On the brink of death, Eren also awakens to new abilities that the empire uses as a useful weapon against the Titans. Other than that, there aren’t many similarities to Solo Leveling. However, Attack on Titan has some of the most intense fights the anime medium has to offer.

The plot gets much more complicated later in the anime and things get much darker.
5Chainsaw Man
Denji was an ordinary person who had financial issues until he absorbed the Chainsaw Devil inside of him. This saved his life when his heart was injured, and he also gained new abilities. Later, he joins the Devil Hunters, which are similar to Hunters in Solo Leveling.
The Devils are menacing entities that harm humankind. They have also caused the deaths of many devil hunters. The battles in the anime are intense, especially when a stronger devil appears to wreak havoc on the city.

4One Punch Man
Saitama and Sung Jin Woo have one thing in common and that is that they are both overpowered main characters. So if you want some intense action, you will enjoy watching One Punch Man as well.
The Hero Association has dividedthe heroesinto various ranks depending on how they perform in the test. However, they are allowed to climb the ranks if they get stronger. Due to not performing well in academics, Saitama ends up in the lowest rank, but his heroic battles against the monsters let him climb the ranks quickly.

3That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime
Rimuru leads a boring life in the real world and eventually ends up dying. After his death, he gets reincarnated as a Slime, and gains mysterious powers that let him learn new abilities by absorbing monsters. This start is very similar to how Sung Jin Woo uprising in Solo Leveling.
Every time Sung Jin Woo defeated a strong enemy, his strength evolved, becoming closer to that of an S Rank Hunter. Rimuru also makes progress after encountering tough challenges. The Goblin village also needs to be wary of other magical beasts that threaten their existence.

2Rising Of The Shield Hero
If you like a story that focuses on the uprising of a hero, you will really enjoy Rising of the Shield Hero. Four people are summoned from the real world to fulfill their duty of fighting the demons to protect the kingdom. The intense fights against these tough adversaries remind you of some battles from Solo Leveling.
The Shield Hero was considered the weakest among all the other summoned heroes. However, by defeating enemies, he upgrades his shield, becoming much stronger as a result. This does remind you of Sung Jin Woo’s start, as he was a weak D-Rank hunter at the start as well.

1Sword Art Online
Sword Art Online is set ina virtual reality MMORPG gamewhere gamers feel as if they are actually experiencing it. This means that they must also fight for their life as dying can also have consequences in their real life.
Kirito levels up and gets more gear, similar to how Sung Jin Woo gets new items as he travels between different worlds. Kirito faces monsters of varying strengths with an epic final boss showdown waiting for him at the end of the game.
Sword Art Online becomes a much more serious anime and Kirito visits more games across the series.
