Summary
While discussing the game in a recentPlayStationBlog post,Ubisofthas claimed thatAssassin’s Creed ShadowsonPS5Pro is the “ultimate console experience” that’s comparable to “ultra-high-end” PCs.
Late last year, PlayStation finally revealed and subsequentlyreleased its massive mid-gen upgrade for the PlayStation 5 - the PS5 Pro. While thelaunch was a little disappointing for most gamers who hoped for obvious upgradesinstead of more nitty-gritty stuff, that didn’t stop it from being a very powerful console with some impressive specs.

The big problem with the PS5 Pro was that there simply wasn’t any new games to show off its power, with Sony relying on older first-party titles to show off what it could do. As great as seeing proper reflections while inSpider-Man 2’s Performance mode was, though, everyone has been waiting for the next big game that could handle its power.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows On PS5 Pro Is The “Ultimate Console Experience”, Says Ubisoft
Better Get That Pro If You Want The Most Out Of Japan
Enter a surprising candidate in the form ofAssassin’s Creed Shadows, which many havepointed out is the best reason to own a PS5 Pro as of the time of writing. Despite making consistently massive and detailed worlds, Ubisoft isn’t known for pushing the power of consoles, so Shadows being the showstopper for the Pro has been a big surprise.
It’s a wave of glory that Ubisoft seems to be trying to make the most of, though. As pointed out by Push Square, a newPlayStation Blog post was recently released that details all of the features of the PS5 Pro version of the gamecompared to the regular. In that blog, Ubisoft technology director Pierre Fortin calls Shadows on PS5 Pro the “ultimate console experience”.

We’re very satisfied with our PS5 Pro version and believe it is the ultimate console experience for AC Shadows, one that rivals ultra-high-end PC gaming. - Pierre Fortin
That certainly seems true, but Fortin goes one step further by noting that all of the improvements the Pro offers mean that the game “rivals ultra-high-end PC gaming”. Considering how powerful PCs can get and how customisable the experience is, that’s quite the claim but one that’s indicative of just how confident Ubisoft is in the version of the game they’ve offered.
