In the first hour or two ofAtelier Yumia, you might not even know that Skill Points are a thing. Within thenexthour or two, you may instead be scrambling to figure out how to acquire them by the thousands. As soon as the game’s Skill Tree is unlocked, you’ll be staring down three categories' worth of increasingly costly, but frequently tantalizing, abilities to learn.

EXP gets handed out like candy in Atelier Yumia, and currency in the traditional sense is a complete nonentity. Thus, we’ve written neither a leveling guide nor a cash-making guide. Skill Points, on the other hand, are a very different story.

Synthesize All Day, Every Day

Or are they? Indeed, there is onesurefire wayto earnheaps of Skill Points. You need toclock some hours in at the atelier. You need tosynthesizeto your heart’s content and your basket’s near-depletion.

Every time you synthesize, you’ll earn Skill Points numbering between around 10 and 30on average. (There are exceptions, but that’s what you’ll be getting more often than not.) That’s right:Each individual synthesis performance nets SP.

The limit, then, is inhow many materials you have on-hand to do this, and how frequently you’re returning to use them. So long as you’re doing this at a decent clip, your Skill Point issues will be significantly eased.

In Atelier Yumia, strong synthesized gear and magic items are the cornerstone of your party’s strength. Thus, you should be spending plenty of time doing this, anyway. Remember, you can alwaysAuto-Synthesizeif it grows tedious.

Snipe Those Targets

Which isn’t to say there aren’t ways tosupplement your Skill Point gainto an appreciable degree. Indeed, synthesis alone won’t get you quite where you need to be in order to learn new skills on an impressively routine basis.

Instead, check your mini-map for “?” symbols, and investigate them every time. They’ll often beSmall Shrines, which, when touched (or in many cases, shot), willprovide 10 Skill Points. It adds up!

Locatingfast travel points- which will also be given the on-map question-mark treatment - also nets Skill Points. These are also great on their own terms, of course.

Complete Quests

This last part is a bit drab by comparison. Well, one majoraspectof it, anyway.Completing quests nets you Skill Points, and that’s often a great accompaniment to whatever it was that you were doing in the first place.

The main source here, however, is viaRandom Quests. And these can be… let’s say “a bit uninspired”. They’re rote, no two ways about it; and they can spawn at an almost comical rate. But then, all the better for SP grinds, right?

Whenever a Research Team Member needs help, go ahead and do the quest, so long as you feel lik another 20 or so Skill Points is a good cause for it. You’ll get someingredients, too. Just don’t burn yourself on these. Treat them as even more supplemental than landmarks!
