We hear about Mystra very early on inBaldur’s Gate 3. If youplay as a cleric, she can be your chosen deity. Then, if you recruitGale, he’ll eventually tell you that he is one of Mystra’s former lovers, andhis personal questlinerevolves around him grappling with the actions that led to their breakup.
However, after hours upon hours of hearing about Mystra, the woman you meet is surprisingly… mortal. That’s not an insult, she looks great! But her character model doesn’t exactly scream “goddess” or “mother of all magic”. Many players have noted this since the launch, and now, one of them has done something about it.
This Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Gives Mystra A More God-like Redesign
As you can see in the images above, there are two different versions of Mystra that you can download. The first keeps her original character model, while reworking the colours and outfit to be more unique and divine. The second one gives her a new face entirely, completely overhauling her look in the original game.
This all comes courtesy ofNexus Mods user AzazeL, who has actually redesigned a bunch of characters in Baldur’s Gate 3.This one heregives everyone in the Church of Shar a new look, including their leader, Viconia.
If you want to start modding Baldur’s Gate 3, you certainly aren’t hurting for options. Nexus Mods is full of creations, and even if you’re afraid to mod the game yourself, Baldur’s Gate 3 now has an in-built mod store and manager. This means that console players can download a selection of mods too, although there are far more up for grabs over on Nexus.
