Summary

Baldur’s Gate 3’s newphoto modeis a whole lot of fun, letting you snap pics of your character and companions in various scenarios. I haven’t used it to its fullest extent yet, but Ihaveused it to kiss Karlach and have her propose to me, so I’m satisfied.

However, there are some restrictions. For starters, you can’t pull back the camera forever, and you can’t press it right down to the floor. Thankfully, fans are already sharing fixes for this.

These Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods Give You More Freedom In Photo Mode

Unlimited Photo Modeby Nexus Mods user Clowee lets you pull back the camera as far as you want, effectively turning it into a free cam. As we see in one of the images they share, they’ve brought the camera so high that we can see the entire crash site in Act 1. This mod is available throughmod.io, so you’ll be able to find it in the in-game mod manager too, although not on console just yet.

For even more options, there’sBetter Photo Modeby user Volitio. This has an improved camera range, but also lets you get pictures much closer to the ground, and adjust the camera speed. That last one will come in very handy, since it can be used to either fly around the map with ease or slow things down to get the exact angle you’re after.

Photo mode is not the only new addition to Baldur’s Gate 3. There are also12 new subclasses to try out, and even cross-play between PC and console. This is the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3, asLarianis now moving on to its next RPG.
