8Minecraft Movie Inspired Builds - Marsparks
This video is a mini-tour of some builds based on A Minecraft Movie. You’ll see Steve’s Pink House, the Lava Chicken Shop, and the mushroom house. They aren’t as complex as some other examples, but there’s still a good faithfulness to the movie here and they are easier to replicate.
Steve’s house is especially neat as you could recreate this from the video and make yourself a neat little starter home fit for the legendary Minecraft default character himself.
7Minecraft Movie House By Loorikeet
Loorikeet has taken a more focused approach to building and chosen to recreate the large house with a tower on a hill. They’ve even used textures taken from the trailer to try and get a look which more closely resembles A Minecraft Movie. The detail is more visible here since they made the specific building larger scale.
The textures used here do mean this build isn’t vanilla MInecraft. It’s closer in appearance to the movie, but this is at the cost of it looking a little out of place in the game due to the unconventional textures.
6A Minecraft Movie Mushroom House - Blondskunk
This video is a full tutorial on how to build the mushroom house in A Minecraft Movie. It goes from the ground up showing how to lay it out, what each layer needs, and how to decorate the interior. This is a full build inspired by the movie and one which is relatively easy to create yourself.
If you want to build your own house themed on the movie, then following this tutorial is a great start. It’s not a huge house but there’s room for the essentials, and it’s absolutely adorable.
5Minecraft Movie Chicken Shop - Vaud
Vaud has carefully created the chicken shop with huge attention to detail. From the giant chicken statue on top, which is so tall you can’t see it all in one screenshot, to the lava pit in the interior, every part of the store is recreated. There is no build footage here, although Vaud does ask if he should do a tutorial. However, it’s fairly easy to get the gist of how it’s done by looking at it.
Vaud also gives a tour from all angles and outlines the block palette he used as well as the details of individual parts you can’t see, like the dripping lava. This is a truly detailed recreation of the iconic store which you can also download for your own game.
4Viral Minecraft Movie Scenes By Loverfella
In this video from Loverfella, he attempts to recreate specific scenes from A Minecraft Movie with the help of some friends. They include a chicken jockey in a boxing ring, the lava chicken shop, a diamond vein, and the villager statues on a mountain.
Some of these look deceptively easy, and the closeness to the movie varies. It’s interesting to see how they all came out and which are closest to the big screen versions. Some of the results couldn’t be predicted as seemingly easy tasks are not always as simple as they appear.
3A Minecraft Movie Village Area By Thamango
ThaMangos build is based on the footage of the village which we see in A Minecraft Movie’s trailer. In his video you’ll see him talking through his references and his process. He starts with the outline of the scenery and archway, then fills in trees, buildings and paths before adding some final touches.
The final result is a build which closely resembles the village in the movie. Some details cannot be properly replicated in Minecraft, such as the windows, but this version is very close, and he’s even released the download to members of his channel’s discord server.
2Minecraft Movie Teaser Trailer In Minecraft By Jakinho Dog
This video shows how Jakinho Dog created several large-scale sets and roped in some friends to help recreate a teaser trailer for A Minecraft Movie. With sped-up building footage and a voiceover, he explains how he pulled it together and what exactly he had to build.
There’s also a sneak peek behind the scenes as he shows images of the software he uses to make the trailer and talks about some of the mods needed to more closely recreate sets, like the workshop we see Jason Momoa’s character Garett crafting in.
