Iansan is a four-star Electro Polearm user released duringGenshin Impactversion 5.5. It has been a while since a powerful four-star unit was added to the game, and Iansan checks all the boxes that you may be looking for in a character.
She is a must-have unit, and being a four-star character makes it a lot easier to get hold of her, unless you get extremely unlucky. If you pulled Iansan and are looking for some teams to make her work in, here’s a detailed rundown of her best team compositions.

Iansan can effectively use the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set, which gives her Elemental Energy while also buffing the Elemental damage for the rest of the party. Additionally, her ATK stats need to be over 2500 to get the full value of her kit.
Furina
Buffer
Iansanprovides a wide range of buffs which includeATK boosts, healing buffs, and DMG boostsfor an active character. As such, she has theability to work with almost any team, but with Varesa, she gets the best synergy due toElectro Resonance. In this team, Iansan will function as theprimary support who will buff the entire team, especially Varesa.
Varesais a main DPSwho has massive damage potential on her own,and she is quite self-sufficient. This makes it easy to use her without too much investment. When youcombine Iansan with Varesa, her damage is enhanced even further,as being a self-sufficient DPS, she spends a lot of time on the field, which helps make the former’s buffs even more valuable.

Furina’spresence in this team is to simplybuff up the entire party even furtherthan it already is with Iansan. She can alsodeal damage with her Elemental Burst, while her ultimate canincrease the output of the DPS at the cost of draining HP.However, this problem iscircumvented by the healing receivedfrom both Iansan and Xianyun.
Iansan’s ATK buffs rely on the active character moving around. Fortunately, Varesa has a lot of mobility, and she supports that playstyle, which helps create a synergy. Additionally, due to Electro Resonance, Iansan doesn’t need as much Energy Recharge and you can invest on her ATK stats instead.

Finally,Xianyun will help with the heals and also enable Varesa’s plunging playstyle. You have to remember that Xianyunincreases plunging attack damage, which means Varesa will be able to clear all content in the game with ease while in this team, as long as enemies don’t have Electro resistances.
The general rotation for this team will be as follows:
Make sure Iansan has around 160 percent Energy Regen in this team so that her ultimate ability is back before a second rotation.
Xilonen
Buffer/Healer
Iansan’sDMG and ATK buffs are quite significantfor not just Varesa, but Mavuika as well, who is the best DPS unit in the game as of version 5.5. While in this team,Iansan will provide her usual buffs, but it also synergizes well with the rest of the party members.
Mavuika, while in her Rider mode, moves around a lot,and you need to be in that state to deal damage. As such, shedoesn’t have any issues maintaining Iansan’s buffssince mobility is a requirement to maintain the ATK boosts.
Citlaliis the primary support for Mavuka, who canprovide shields while also reducing the enemy’s resistancewhen triggering a melt reaction. If you want, you’re able to replace her with Furina, but Citlali and Mavuika have very good synergy, and she’s a requirement for optimal damage.
If youdon’t have Xilonen, go with Bennettsince he can also provide heals and ATK boosts. However, Xilonen’s bonus is a lot stronger and if you have her, there’s no point using Bennett.
Finally,Xilonenis a perfect unit to close out this team, since she can not onlyprovide heals, but also a 36 percent debuff, which ismassive to increase Mavuika’s overall DPS. Additionally, herhealing is also very good, and you will be able to tank enemy hits.
Baizhu
Healer
Iansan being an Electro unit, can easily work with Dendrocharacters while triggering the Aggravate reaction and leading to massive team damage. The best part about this team is that themassive ATK buffs from Iansancan make the DPSdeal high amounts of damagein addition to thescaling from the reactionitself.
Clorinde will function as the main DPShere, who can easily use Iansan’s buffs. You will have toplay a plunging style, but that won’t be a problem with Clorinde and herhigh-speed attacks combined with a massive damage multiplierwill wipe out most enemies very quickly.
If you want,Varesa is also perfect for this team instead of Clorindeand will probably work even better. However, bringing in a second DPS that can work with Yansan opens up more opportunities for players who don’t want to pull Varesa.
Nahidawill function as the primaryDendro applicator here, who will also help boost the Elemental Mastery of the team. She is key to making this team function, and therearen’t any other units who can replace her. So if you don’t have Nahida, this team isn’t going to work.
Baizhuis a verypowerful healer, and being Dendro, he simplyhelps maintain the Aggravate reaction without any issues. If you want, youcan use Yaoyaoin this team, but unlike Baizhu, the former needs field time, which leads to DPS loss.
The general rotation for this team is as follows:
If you want, you can skip Baizhu entirely here and bring him in after Clorinde completes her rotation. However, Clorinde being a Bond of Life user can be a bit vulnerable, so it’s better to keep Baizhu’s shield and heal running for the additional safety.
