TheJujutsu Kaisenmanga ended on July 22, 2025, with the final 271st chapter titled From Now On. This brought it to a close after seven and a half years. Its heart-pounding action and fast-paced curse-filled story of good versus evil ends with a chapter that shows our three main characters, Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, going back to do what they do best—hunting down curses.
Since the release of the final chapter, all of them have been compiled into thirty volumes. As such, picking out the best ones from the bunch can be challenging, since almost all of them are good. Therefore, here are our top ten Jujutsu Kaisen volumes of the manga that we believe are must-reads.

10Volume 0
Blinding Darkness
Volume 0 of Jujutsu Kaisen is very different from the others since the first four chapters of this shōnen manga have the cursed child Yuta Okkotsu as the main protagonist. He differs a lot from the primary hero, Yuji Itadori, since the former is cool and calm, unlike the fiery but thoughtful latter.
This pilot volume sets the tone for this series very well, portraying Yuta’s cursed relationship with his childhood friend Rika Orimoto. It also has some great action scenes, like the sorcerer’s fight against Suguru Geto, one of the primary antagonists of this series. They were brilliantly animated in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.

9Volume 24
Fearsome Womb - Recurrence
The 24th Jujutsu Kaisen volume surprised a portion of the fanbase as it finally showcased Sukuna’s fated reincarnation in Megumi Fushigoro’s body. This volume marks the end of the Culling Games arc, where Megumi’s elder step-sister Tsumiki was the vessel for the ancient Heian-era sorcerer Yorozu.
Soon, we see our heroes fighting Sukuna head-on as he takes control of Megumi’s body, leaving Yuji and Maki feeling helpless after realizing they cannot do anything to save their friend.

8Volume 17
Perfect Preparations
Volume 17: The Preparations started the Culling Games arc in Jujutsu Kaisen. However, fans were also treated to the cold-blooded massacre of the Zenin Clan, one of thebig three sorcerer clans, at the hands of the mistreated Maki. She annihilates all members of her clan, concluding with an epic fight against her brother Naoya. This volume perfectly encapsulates Maki’s hatred for her family.
This seems to be a nod to Ichahi Uchiha massacring his clan from the Naruto series. We expect Jujutsu Kaisen season three to cover this story arc, including all of its amazing battles.

7Volume 21
Tokyo Number 2 Colony - Incredible Luck
Jujutsu Kaisen’s The Culling Games arc is its longest story arc, featuring seven volumes from 18 to 24. However, most fans of the series will agree that the chapters featuring the fight between Kinji Hakari and Hajime Kashimo were some of thebest fights in the Culling Games arc.
This showdown featured one of the most exhilarating fights of this series, which takes place right after the latter incapacitates Panda. Kinji has been teased in the manga and anime for quite some time, finally making his jackpot of an appearance here. His use of luck can make him invincible for four minutes, which results in a terrific fight against the electrifying Hajime. Kinji’s Idle Death Gamble is one of the mostunique cursed techniquesshown in the series so far.

6Volume 13
The Shibuya Incident - Thunderclap
Jujutsu Kaisen’s The Shibuya Incident arc is probably the best in the series, featuring some of the best fight scenes and an ending that sets up the plot for a dark and bloody future. Mappa has done an incredible job animating this arc in season two, making fans anticipate season three even more.
Volume 13 also features the iconic comeback of Sukuna in Yuji’s body as he takes on the villain Jogo in an explosive battle that leaves a giant crater in the middle of Shibuya.

5Volume 15
The Shibuya Incident - Transformation
The Shibuya Incident reaches new heights with the fight between Yuji, Todo, and Mahito concluding the arc. This fight lets us see the chemistry between Todo and Yuji strengthened throughout the fight. They must work together to bring out the better half of each other to take down Mahito and finish him off for good.
Mahito must finally pay for all the crimes against humanity he has done throughout the series, especially against Nobara and everyone’s favorite Nanami.

4Volume 14
The Shibuya Incident - Right And Wrong
While Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 15 concludes with the final fight of the Shibuya Incident, it was Volume 14 and the fight between a reawakened Sukuna versus Mahoraga that remains the main highlight of this arc and the anime’s sophomore season.
Sukuna’s fight with Mahoraga is one of the best in the series so far, as we see the King of Curses going up against an almost invincible entity that can adapt and get stronger as the fight progresses. This fight upped the scale unlike anything before, as we finally get to see Sukuna using his Malevolent Shrine Domain Expansion to infinitely slash and cleave Mahoraga until nothing remains.

3Volume 29
Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown - Living Dead
Volume 29 is the penultimate volume of Jujutsu Kaisen, as we see the last-ditch attempt of the sorcerers to take down Sukuna reincarnated in Megumi’s body. Yuji, Yuta, and Todo go head-to-head againstSukuna’s strongest powersin his most potent form to date.
This exhilarating fight shows these three sorcerers use every technique they know to defeat the main villain of this series once and for all, overcoming all odds with the help of Hana Kurusu’s Jacob’s Ladder.

2Volume 25
Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown
While the series finale and Volume 29 received a great reception from fans of the series, it was Volume 25’s iconic and much-awaited fight between the strongest sorcerer in history versus the strongest sorcerer of today that made readers drop their jaws to the floor in awe.
This fight has been detailed and illustrated brilliantly by Mangaka Gege Akutami. After being freed from the Prison Realm by Hana’s Jacobs Ladder, the two giants clash head-on to determine the fate of the world. This soon evolved to be one of thebest fights in Jujutsu Kaisen.

1Volume 26
Heading South
Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 26 is considered to be the best by most fans since it continues the fight between Sukuna and Gojo from Volume 25. After we see some amazing fight choreography in the last volume with Gojo getting the upper hand, Sukuna tries to even the field by summoning multiple powerful Shikigami at once, including the nigh-invincible Mahoraga.
This fight shows why Sukuna is so feared and Gojo is so revered. The clash of their cursed energy and physical prowess is a spectacle to behold, as we see an epic fight that reaches a tragic conclusion. When this fight is finally animated, it might go on to become the best in anime history if Mappa does it justice.
