The overall appearance of your facilities inTwo Point Museumis just as important as the Exhibits that you have on display. Not only will a high Decoration Rating bring your Exhibits' Buzz to its maximum potential, but it also increases the Environment of the building, making guests want to stay longer.
Decorations cost money and take up space, so you can’t just drop them around the museum haphazardly. Placing your Decorations with care and efficiency will go a long way toward making your museum a success. Try these tips to get the most out of your museum’s decor.

8Fully Decorate Every Exhibit
This is one of the first lessons you’ll learn in Two Point Museum, but it’s so important that it bears repeating here;if an Exhibit doesn’t have a full Decoration Rating of five out of five, fix it.Placing additional Decorations, or simplymoving an Exhibit to a better-decorated part of the museum, is the easiest way in the game to get a little bit more Buzz, and by extension more donations.
Decoration Boost
If there’s really no good way of getting an Exhibit’s Decoration Rating to five - perhaps because it’s in an awkward location due to its size or shape, or because it’s in a new wing that hasn’t been fully built out yet - you can alwaysuse one of its Perk slotsto give it Decoration Boost. This reasonably-common Perklocks the Exhibit’s Decoration Rating at five, so it always looks its best no matter where it is in the museum.
7Use Floor Decals And Ceiling Decorations
Decorations oftencompete for floor space with Exhibits, Info Stands, and guest amenities, and as the museum gets more and more successful you’ll often find yourself trying to find new ways to cram in your latest acquisition without pricey new construction. Floor Decals and Decorations that hang from the ceiling aren’t available in every theme, but theyare much more economical when it comes to keeping pathways clear for guests and staff.
Prehistory, Marine Life, and SupernaturalDecor all have great options for these kinds of ornaments. The only real drawback is thatCeiling Decorations collide withAquariumsandPolterguest Rooms, as well as some larger Exhibits, so you’ll still occasionally need to move them around to make space.

Wall ornaments are also a great option, but theyoften compete with Info Standsfor a spot on the edges of the room. Try alternating; a Decoration, then an Info Stand, and so on.
6Keeping Exhibits Together Lets Them Share Decorations
There are a lot of good reasons togroup Exhibits closely together; they can contribute more Knowledge to Info Stands, garner more donations, and they make formuch better tour setups. One of the best reasons of all, though, is that doing so makes itmuch easier to decorate.
Decorations have an effect area, sohaving multiple Exhibits nearby lets them all benefit from a single ornament. If the Exhibits all match the Decoration’s theme, and therefore get a better contribution toward their Rating, so much the better.

5Decorate The Bathrooms
You can’t place regular Decorations in your museum’s Bathrooms, but you can (and should) increase the room’s Environment score byadding posters, hand sanitizer, sinks, and hand dryers. It’s a safe bet that most guests will visit the Bathroom at least once during their visit, and if it’s well-decorated, their desire to stay in the museum willdegrade more slowlywhile they’re doing their business.
You’ll also get a better score (and therefore more funding) from Health And Safety Inspections if your Bathrooms are well-equipped.

4Make Staff-Only Rooms Bigger Than They Need To Be
By the same token, rooms that are exclusively for the use of your staffcan also get extra add-ons. Not only do these increase the room’s Environment, keeping your staff content, butmany of them make the room more efficient if they’re present.
The minimum size requirements for a new room typically account solely for the equipment that the room needs to function at basic capacity. That means that if you want to add upgrades like server cabinets, work tables, or coffee machines, you’ll need tomake the room bigger to accommodate them.If you’re just starting your Story Mode campaign, take that into account when building early rooms so that you don’t have to redesign the museum later.

3Remember Windows, Benches, And Bins
While they aren’t Decorationsper se, basic amenities like windows, benches, and trash binscontribute to the overall Environment of the museumand provide useful amenities for your guests at the same time.
2Check Each Exhibit’s Buzz Bonuses
Every Exhibit hasone or more Buzz Bonusesthat you need to fulfill if you want it to have maximum effectiveness. Often, they’ll requirea specific Decorationto be nearby, so if an Exhibit isn’t at maximum Buzz, simply placing a Prehistoric Rock or a Space Probe could be the easiest fix in the world.
1Wallpaper And Floor Designs Are Purely Cosmetic
Your museum will look better on the screen after you meticulously select thematic wallpaper and carpets for each room; there’s no denying that. However, just be aware that there’sno in-game incentive to do so, and it’s purely for your own gratification. The building’s Environment and Decoration will be the same with standard Industrial Grey walls as it will with anything else.
On the plus side, customizing the walls and floorsdoesn’t cost a penny!
