However, some less reputable sources have been coming out with release dates seemingly at random, at least one of which - April 3 - has come and gone. This has led many fans tolose hope that it is happening at all, although there are still many who want to believe.

Bethesda Support Responds To Oblivion Remake Rumours
But it has no “official information” to share
This comes from user @Cosmic221646J, who started asking about the rumoured Oblivion remake in the replies to a post aboutFallout 76. Whoever was running the account seemingly believed that they were inquiring about launching the original Oblivion, as they started to offer troubleshooting advice. Eventually, the user made it clear that they were talking about a remake, prompting the following response.
“We have no official information on an Oblivion remake,” says Bethesda Support. Apologies for any confusion."
I suppose Bethesda has acknowledged the rumours in some form, at least.
So, when is the remake launching, if it actually exists after all? A more credible source suggests thatit will shadowdrop at some point this month. That means we could be playing it within the next two and a half weeks.
