Summary
Minor spoilers for Blue Prince item combinations ahead.
Blue Princeis the type of game in which players will still be making discoveries a year down the line. Thousands of possibleroom combinations, hundreds of puzzles, and what feels like a million secrets have already earned the game its place in the pantheon of puzzle game greats.
While players are now diving deeper into the game’s later puzzles, it seems like one element of Blue Prince has been slightly overlooked— the impact of the combined items, as one player has now stumbled upon a genius use for the game’s electromagnet.

Blue Prince’s Electromagnet Is The Perfect Thief’s Tool
Unless blessed with a full inventory, the Workshop is probably pretty low on most players' Blue Prince room draft list. It’s a great room for creating a bunch of new, useful items, but as with much of Blue Prince’s early game, it relies on RNG, with you needing to actually find items first to combine them.
One of the most useful combinations in Blue Prince is the Electromagnet. It can be created by combining the Compass and the Battery Pack, giving players a higher chance of drafting Mechanical Rooms and automatically picking up Keys and Coins in the process. It’s these magnetic tendencies that have caused one player to accidentally stumble across a handy little secret.

Shared on the Blue Prince subreddit byVeto111, the Electromagnet can be used to loot the Locksmith.
The Locksmith is a shop with a sole purpose: to sell you Keys. However, if you’re short on cash and have the Electromagnet on hand, you can waltz into the shop, and its whole inventory will suddenly become yours.

Veto reported that they had 30 Keys after the interaction, and another user in the thread, who had also accidentally stumbled across it, had 29. Given the need for keys in certain sections of Blue Prince’s post-game, it’s a very nifty trick to be aware of.
Now, how many more fun interactions like this are hidden away?
