Over the next week, TheGamer will be exclusively revealing eight boss battles from The First Berserker: Khazan as part of our Boss Week. Get A First Look At The First Berserker: Khazan’s Brutal Blade Phantom Boss
Let’s kick things off strong with the Blade Phantom, a medieval-looking boss that looks like he would fit right into the world of Dark Souls. Unfortunately for Khazan, it’s him who will have to go up against the Blade Phantom, who seems like he’s going to put up a hell of a fight when you run into him.
As you’re able to see from the trailer above (which is narrated by the wonderful Ben Starr, who voices Khazan), the Blade Phantom is the “warden of the Underworld”. The Blade Phantom is mostly shown using his fists to fight against Khazan, but he’s also described as being able to “effortlessly” switch weapons from moment to moment during a fight.
If you’re wondering why the Blade Phantom refers to themself as “us” in the footage, that’s because they’re made up of multiple consciousnesses. Only “the strongest” conscious is able to take full control of the Blade Phantom at a time, which might explain his knack for multiple different combat styles.
The combat experience Blade Phantom has gathered over untold lengths of time is evident based on his uncanny ability to adapt, effortlessly switching weapons to suit the moment. Only one consciousness, the strongest of them all, dictates the actions of Blade Phantom.
Of course, even with that in mind, we don’t quite know yetwhythe Blade Phantom is going up against Khazan. We’ll find out for sure when The First Berserker: Khazan launches on March 27. Until then, keep an eye on TheGamer every day to check out some of the other bosses that Khazan is going to facing,
