It’s entirely likely you didn’t realize just how good this game is until after it launched. That means a lot of you missed out on the chance to buy its Collector’s Edition. Sandfall Interactive is very aware of that, which is why it’s giving people a second chance to buy it.
Announced viaClair Obscur’s Twitter account, Expedition 33 is getting a post-launch Monolith Set. Since re-releasing the Collector’s Edition wouldn’t make much sense as those who want it, but missed out, will already own the game by now, Sandfall has been working on the Monolith Set alongside Laced.
The Monolith Set will includeeverything that came with the Collector’s Edition, minus the game itself and the DLC cosmeticsit came with. All of the physical goodies that were included with the CE can be found in the Monolith Set, and since it won’t include the game, it will cost considerably less than the Collector’s Edition did during Clair Obscur’s pre-order period.

“Our Collector’s Edition sold out way faster than we expected,” Sandfall wrote on Twitter. “We know a lot of you missed out, so we’ve spent the time since then putting something together with Laced.” Inside the Monolith Set, you’ll findan Expedition 33 SteelBook, the Journal Artbook, and best of all,an eight-inch tall statue of Clair’s Monolithwhich is actually a functioning music box.
While the Collector’s Edition cost $150,the Monolith Set is $120due to the absence of the game. No, it’s not $50 cheaper - the price of the game when bought separately - but Sandfall has explained prices will differ due to the tariffs. Clair fans in France will be able to pre-order the Monolith Set throughPix’n Loveto avoid tariff-inflated prices.
Pre-orders for the Monolith Set will open on June 14, 2025, andwill stay open until 11 am EST on Jul 16, 2025. There’s no mention of the set being available until stocks last, which hopefully means these sets will be made to order, but there’s no guarantee of that yet. In an attempt to prevent the sets from being scalped, they will be limited to two per customer.
Clair has been having quite the impact on the gaming world and will almost certainly be among the contenders for 2025’s Game of the Year six months from now. Even if it doesn’t win, its lasting legacy can bethe French cuss words it has so many of us using more frequently.
