Ahead of its release, reviews have begun pouring in for The Dark Ages, with the upcoming title being one of the best-reviewed in the series, though not strong enough to overtake Doom Eternal. TheGamer’s Lead Features Editor, Jade King, gave the game a 3.5/5 in her review, praising its brutal combat and enemy variety.

Unfortunately, it looks like reviews aren’t the only thing of note pouring in, as the entirety of the game has managed to leak online ahead of its launch next Thursday.

If You’re A Doom Fan, It’s The Dark Ages On Social Media With These Leaks

As first spotted by Insider Gaming, Doom: The Dark Ages was obtained early by someone who preordered the game’s limited collector’s edition and had it shipped and received before the listed May 13 release date.

Taking to Reddit, the fan shared nearly everything about the game, ranging from the inconsequential menus down to more spoiler-heavy elements, including the game’s bestiary and final enemy encounters. If that wasn’t enough, they followed up with screenshots from the game’s many cutscenes and story beats before disappearing entirely.

“I’m gone before the Zenimax cops get me,“they wrote online. “Enjoy.”

To this point, the megathread has been around for roughly 24 hours and hasn’t been struck by copyright and neither have its Imgur uploads. Of course, that could quickly change as the spoilers spread from beyond Reddit to every corner of the internet. Either way, if you’re keen on playing the next entry in the Doom franchise, you’re probably better off not searching for the word “Doom” on any form of social media.
