Turns out the controller is real and it, along with some other Doom: The Dark Ages Xbox accessories, have now officially been revealed. Doom: The Dark Ages will be the first game in almost two years to get its own line of Xbox accessories, following in the footsteps ofHalo Infinite,Forza Horizon 5, andStarfieldwhich was the last game to get a matching controller.
Xbox’s Doom controller has been made to look like it’s an extension of the Doom Slayer himself. Designed to look like it’s encased in Doomguy’s armor not only in color, but in texture too. A green, grey, and orange motif with ridges on the handles reminiscent of the ones you can see on the protagonist’s armor.

Two Controllers And A Series X Console Wrap
Joining it in the newly revealed collection is an Elite Series 2 controller. Other than being a more advanced, and more expensive, version of the standard Doom controller, the Elite version also has a slightly different color scheme. The Elite controller’s color scheme is a closer match to the third and final item in the newly revealed collection - the console wrap. A tradition Xbox has stuck with during its current gen, the Doom-themed wrap has been designed to wrap around your Series X console, giving it a Doom makeover.
Back to the controllers, and each of their A, X, Y, and B buttons have been replaced with mysterious characters from the game’s demonic language. It looks great, but that might be a problem if you ever hand them to someone who isn’t familiar with Xbox’s face button layout. You shouldn’t be giving a controller this nice to guests anyway; let them use the Mad Catz one.
Even though the controllers are limited edition, so get them while you can, this isn’t a case of having to enter a contest to win the one of them that exists. Xbox has been doing that a lot recently - seethe furry Sonic controllersandthe one with Deadpool’s detachable rear end on the back- but that’s not what’s happening here.
Doom’s controllers and the console wrap are widely available and releasing in multiple regions.The standard Doom controller costs $79.99, whilethe Elite version is $199.99. As for the console wrap,it’s going to cost you $54.99to give your Series X a Dark Age makeover. The Elite controller hasa release date of June 29, 2025,while the standard controller and wrap don’t have dates attached, which presumably means they’ll ship as soon as you place your order.

Doom: The Dark Ages is getting its own Xbox controllers. Both the standard controller and the Elite Series have been designed to look like they’re extensions of Doomguy’s armor. They’ve also both been made to look like they’ve been spattered in blood, and the regular letters on the face buttons have been replaced by demonic symbols from Doom’s in-game language.
Xbox Series X Wrap – DOOM: The Dark Ages
In preparation of the launch of Doom: The Dark Ages, Xbox has revealed a matching Series X console wrap. The accessory can be wrapped around your console to give it a Doom makeover, making it look like it’s made out of cracked, black brimstone with a demonic Doom symbol branded onto it.
