Summary
Being a fan of anyCapcomgame that isn’tMonster Hunter Wildsat the moment isn’t particularly fun. It’s understandable for the most part, with Capcom most likely wanting to ensure thatas many resources as possible are going towards its main bread winner, but you have to feel sorry for folks likeStreet Fighter 6fans, who have been waiting for new costumes for well over a year at this point.
Dragon’s Dogma 2fans have been in the same boat on that front, as many have been holding out hope that Capcom had something special brewing for the game’s first anniversary, which took place on Saturday last week. Many feel the game needs some tweaks and changes here and there to be better, and the addition of a hard mode for the veterans of the series was a big request going into the anniversary.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Fans Are Furious As Anniversary Passes By With No Update
Pack It Up Dragon’s Dogma Fans, It’s Over
Unfortunately for fans, the anniversary came and went without a single update in sight. The only acknowledgment that Capcom gave the series wasa singular tweet celebrating the event, anda large PNG wallpaper of the game’s castthat fans could download. You probably aren’t surprised to hear that people weren’t very pleased.
“They really ripped our hearts out, huh?” writes Reddit user Mester-ix, who is one of many fans who voiced their frustrations in a recent post on the Dragon’s Dogma 2 subreddit complaining about the lack of an update. Another user called ImperialAce1985 says that Capcom “really abandoned this game”, while another called Roguewarrior05 calls the game’s treatment “absolutely criminal”.
You can kind of see where they’re coming from, with the popularity of Dragon’s Dogma 2 convincing many that the series could have built up a fanbase and gone from niche to mainstream, but it seems as though Capcom doesn’t agree. It’s disappointing, but Dragon’s Dogma fans should at least be thankful that Capcom has acknowledged the series. It could always be worse -just look at Bloodborne fans.
