Summary

When you think ofOblivion, what comes to mind? For many of us, it’s the NPCs - and all of the ridiculous conversations that they get into. In fact, they’re so iconic thatSkyblivion has already confirmed that they will be in the unofficial remake, because it just wouldn’t feel like Oblivion without them.

But of course,Skyblivion isn’t the only revamped Oblivion we’re getting this year. It isall but confirmed that the Oblivion Remaster is happening, andmight even be shadowdropping soon.Leaked screenshots show us what it’s going to look like, and yet one question remains - what will itsoundlike?

Well, fans are hoping it will sound just like the original. Over on Reddit, fans make it clear that they want the original voice cast in the remaster, because it just isn’t Oblivion without constantly hearing Wes Johnson’s voice.

Oblivion Fans Want The Remaster To Keep The Original Voice Lines

The conversation kicked off after longtimeBethesdaactor Wes Johnson replied to a post that mentioned the Oblivion Remaster. He didn’t give any details away, but the fact that he acknowledged it has fans excited - and hopeful that his voice will be in the new game.

“They better not TOUCH the voice acting and music,” says Reddit user Greasy-Chungus.

Many others agree. “I’d rather have an Oblivion with no Oblivion gates than an Oblivion without Wes Johnson,” says inverted-womb.

If there are changes, fans are hoping that they are minimal and add to the game rather than take away. “I’d be ok with them keeping all the original VA lines but maybe hiring some new actors to add some diversity to guards and bandits and such,” argues BlueMilk_and_Wookies. “As long as all the originals are still in there.”

Aggressive_Rope_4201 sums it up best: “Oblivion without Wes Johnson is not Oblivion.”

For now, we sit and wait for the remaster to be confirmed, or even outright released if the shadowdrop rumours are accurate. It could even launch in the coming week, so we could be hearing all of these classic voice lines once again very soon.
