For some, the answer is Raphael, the ever-charming, theatrical cambion you run into throughout the game. Typically, the closest you may get to him is assisting him with his plot to retrieve The Crown of Karsus. If you get in the way of that, then you’ll have to fight him. However, one fan has finally added a way to become more than friends (or rather, more than enemies) with Raphael, making him romanceable.

There’s a romance and a friendship route, all with new dialogue
Lanceboard - Raphael Romance Routeis still in beta right now, so the mod only releases part of this new romance. However, we can see that new dialogue options have been added with the mod, letting you flirt with Raphael when you meet him. Eventually, it should be a full romance quest.
“The plan for the quest consists of three main parts, of which this is the first”, says the mod’s creator, foundatlantis. “I wanted to test before going any further.”
The part that has been added includes dialogue specific to whatever character you’re playing, making this a huge undertaking for the creator.
“The dialogue contains some class/origin/race unique options,” the description reads. “I believe the ones with the most unique content are Wyll and Gale (followed by Karlach and Astarion). It’s a pretty big dialogue tree, so even though I’ve checked for unfinished routes, there might be one or two left.”
To kick off the romance, you have to make your way to the Last Light Inn and help Mol win a game of lanceboard against him. The mod also lets you befriend Raphael, if you’re not in the mood for love. There won’t be any voice acting for the new lines, but the text is there, so you can get stuck in and try to woo or befriend the fan-favourite villain.
