In the Wild West train ride for Mexico ofRoblox’sDead Rails, you’ll encounter many obstacles that want to stop you dead in your tracks. Individual enemies aren’t a big threat, but the game makes up for it with great numbers of enemies on your tail, and so understanding what to expect is crucial for winning the game.

From Zombies to Outlaws, there are many dangers on the rails. You’ll also need to know how much the corpses sell for, and what conditions make the enemies appear in the first place.

Enemies Explained, And How To Fight Them

Enemies spawn eitherin the open world, or underspecific conditions. For the majority of the game, you’ll be fighting Zombies, occasionally Vampires and Werewolves, and the wilderness, filled with Wolves and Outlaws.

Each enemy has a health pool, and after dying, becomes a corpsewhich can be used for different purposes. Enemies will, upon spotting you, relentlessly chase youeven if you travel a great distance away.

Weapons Explained

Weapons are divided into two categories:melee and ranged. Ranged weaponsneed ammo to function, which needs to be found or bought separately, and melee weapons are meant forclose-range fights, but never break.

There are quite a few melee weapons which can be found in the game, but they all serve the same purpose - if all else fails, you’re able to rely on these. They can only damageone enemy at a time, and arefar inferior to ranged weaponsdamage-wise.

If enemies are stuck inside buildings, you can use melee weapons to hit them through walls. Be careful, as stepping too close can lead you to taking damage, so keep some distance from the wall, and bash them until they make an audible death sound.

Ranged weapons, on the other hand, we recommend you takeat the very beginning of the game; the shotgun being the best choice here. The shotgun canone-shot most enemiesat a close distance, and it will beyour primary defensefor the entire game.

If you’ve got money to burn, buy a rifle as well, as this can pick out enemies from a distance, and one-shot them if you land a headshot.

All Enemies

There are manydifferent enemy types, which differ in how they spawn, what their stats are, and how they’re dealt with.

Normal Zombies

The most common enemy in the game, Zombiesspawn in and around houses and towns. They don’t spawn elsewhere.

They’requite slow, so they’re easy to outrun, and they havevery little health. They have a variation that spawns in towns next to banks, calledBanker Zombies, and killing them gives youthe code to the vault of the bank.

They can die with any firearm, and, with well-timed attacks, they can also bekilled with melee weaponswithout sustaining damage by running backwards whilst swinging at them.

Runner Zombies

Some Zombies can instead spawn asRunner Zombies, and they are the primary enemy that spawnsduring a regular night, where they will spawn around the player and train.

They are far fasterthan their regular variation, and can outrun players, but they stilldon’t have a lot of HP.

If a horde is chasing you, these are the ones you should focus on. They havea different face, but you’ll also notice their speed - firearms are your only option here. A shotgun cankill them in one shotup close.

Zombie Soldiers And Captain Prescott

These are the Zombies whichspawn around Fort Constitution, and they don’t appear elsewhere in the game.

Captain Prescott and his army of Zombie Soldierscarry firearms. The damage they dealdepends on the weapons they carry, yet they still have the same amount of HP as the other zombies. As they are a variation of the Runner Zombie, they are as fast.

By the time you get to the Fort, you should have some ranged firearms, such as a rifle. Pick them out at a range, before they get close enoughto where their aim doesn’t need to be good to hit you. Captian Prescott himself isn’t any bigger of a threat than the rest of the Zombies, buthe is worth a lot of moneywhen brought to the Sheriff.

Vampires

Vampires spawnonly on Blood Moons and around the Castle. If spawned during the Blood Moon, they despawn when day comes, though if killed, their corpses stay.

They deala bit more damagethan Zombies, though they have a special ability which is toteleport close to you if far away. They aren’t very fast, so with enough firepower, they’re just as weak as Zombies.

A Werewolf, charging at the player at mach speed, in Dead Rails on Roblox.

Listen for the audio cuethey make when they teleport, as you’ll only have a bit of time to respond - and, if it is a Blood Moon, don’t stay indoors, as it gets so dark you won’t be able to tell where they teleported.

Werewolves

Werewolves areone of the toughest enemies in the game. They spawn on a Full Moon, at the Castle, and rarely in Wolf Packs.

They are fast, tanky, and deal a ton of damage; multiple shotgun shots are required for just one of these beasts, and they can spawn in big numbers.

They haveglowing red eyes, so stay out in the open. Don’t catch yourself in towns or areas where you can’t see around you very well, asthey will catch you off-guardin the blink of an eye. Look for the glowing eyes, and try totake them out at a rangebefore anything else.

Outlaws

Outlaws can spawnanywhere in the desert. They usually spawn in a group, and usually on horseback, though both of these aren’t always the case. They also spawn in their ownOutlaw Camps.

On foot, they aren’t very fast, but they arequite quick on horseback. They have firearms, and deal a lot of damage, especially at close ranges, but theydon’t have a lot of health.

If you can help it,pass them when you see themon the train. They aren’t worth fighting unless you’ve got some friends of your own to help you, thoughthey can be worth a lotif left at the Sheriff. If you’re not on a train, however, they can end your run in the blink of an eye, as their volley of bullets is nothing to scoff at -use rifles if they’re far away.

Wolves

Wolvesspawn in the desertas well,in packs. Sometimes, a Werewolf can spawn alongside them.

They aren’t too big of a threat. They arerelatively quick, but withvery little HP, and not a lot of damage either.

They can be useful as train fuel, but if you may help it,ignore them whilst passing byon the train. If you are fighting them, any weapon will do, just attempt to not get overwhelmed by a big pack.
