Palworldhas provided players with a steady flow of late-game content through recent updates. One such addition is boss raids, where you can fight to obtain unique Pals. Challenging a boss Pal requires constructing an altar, gathering fragments, and combining fragments to create a stone tablet for the desired Pal.
After the boss is summoned and defeated, what do you gain? You’ll receive a strange egg that can be hatched to meet your hard-earned Pal. Getting your hands on raid Pals is only possible through boss raids or breeding them from boss Pal parents. Here, we’ll cover each of the raid bosses available right now.

Pals were examined using level 50 specimens with the median stat distrubution for their species. No Pal was condensed or had any passive skills. Pals will likely have higher or lower stats due to their hidden stat distributions.

Handiwork 2, Medicine 4, Transport 2
Bellanoir are a great choice of Pal for focusing on dark damage. It boasts a strong health pool while offering a median attack of 746 at level 50. Equipping powerful dark attacks to use with the partner skill will provide constant damage. It also does well as a work Pal, with a rating of four in medicine production.
Obtaining the materials tosummon a Bellanoir is not difficult, but defeating it can be. When conducting any boss raid, building the summoning structure away from your main base is a good idea. The fight that erupts can easily damage structures and knock nearby Pals out of commission.
An ideal setup to defeat Bellanoir is to place a Palbox in a wide open area, then stock the base with dragon Pals until full. Nightmare Ray is deadly to players, so pick Pals with high health and defense for the best chances. Staying to the side and letting your Pals hold aggro will lead you to success.
Being an alternate version of Bellanoir many of these Pals' traits are the same. There are only a few notable differences between Bellanoir Libero and its average counterpart. The first is access to a second exclusive skill, Flame Waltz. It performs excellently paired with Nightmare Bloom and any low cooldown dark attack.
Choosing between them is decided by whether you want combat power, or the appearance of a standard Bellanoir. Because of how similar the two are, if you are capable of handling the extra health and damage from Bellanoir Libero, then it’s the pick of choice.
When fighting it, keep in mind that Nightmare Bloom spreads far more than the ray version. This makes the attack more difficult to avoid. Thus, bringing a heavier armor rating would be wise. Using the same Pals as before works fine, but be certain they are well-trained to survive the encounter.

Kindling 4, Mining 4
When deciding on a Pal to ride into battle, Blazamut Ryu has few equals. The partner skill Dragon Kaiser increases dragon damage while you are mounted. It also has a stamina pool of 600, allowing you to attack and maneuver without pause.
The mobility of Blazamut Ryu may be poor, but with sturdy defensive attributes it takes damage like a champ. A Magna Crush from a perfectly statted Blazamut Ryu is one of the most devastating attacks in the game. The right passives and training can reach six-figure damage while mounted.
Outside of combat, in the end-game it is a fantastic working Pal. Spending the time breeding Blazamut’s will reward you with excellent kindling and mining. This is one of the few Pals better for smelting than Jormuntide Ignis, and it travels easily due to a smaller non-alpha frame.

Gathering 1
When comparing Pals for their overall power in combat, Xenolord reigns supreme. It has the dark and dragon elements, and five unique active skills. Although Xenolord is one of the best fighters, with ample health, stamina, and combat stats, there are downsides.
If you need a mounted combat Pal, there are others which come out on top. Selyne and Jetragon make better aerial fighters, and Blazamut Ryu sees more damage when mounted for ground fights. Xenolord is a great jack-of-all-trades choice, but it suffers in work suitability.
With only gathering one work suitability, it’s not very helpful on a base. It can still earn a slot on your team for being a flying Pal with powerful stats. However, use caution when riding Xenolord, as it’s forced into a slow walking speed if out of stamina.
