A Minecraft Movie has taken cinemas by storm, but did you know that there are several free DLC packs for the game which put you into situations you can see on the big screen? From playing games inspired by the film to crafting your own buck-chuckets, you can put yourself into the action.
All the packs listed below are completely free to download, but they only work on Bedrock Edition. To find them, simply head into the marketplace, and they are all together under A Minecraft Movie. Just be careful if you decide to sample Steve’s Lava Chicken, it has some interesting consequences.
7Five Movie Character Skins
A Minecraft Movie Hero Pack - Spark Universe
This free DLC by Spark Universe comprises five skins you can download and use. Choose from Steve, Garrett, Dawn, Henry or Natalie. The skins can be equipped straight from the marketplace, and you can use them in any regular world. They’ll appear as your default until you change the settings.
This is the simplest download but by far the easiest and best way to play as any of the five main characters in A Minecraft Movie. Each skin matches the movie look as closely as possible and all are instantly recognizable. Who knew the Steve skin could look so much like Jack Black?
6New Piglin Types
A Minecraft Movie Add-On - Spark Universe
There are a number of different piglin types in A Minecraft Movie DLC: general, warrior, hammer, spear, pickaxe, chef, drum, and torch. Each one carries the item the name suggests except the general who has a sword and hefty armor. Here’s what to expect from each one and what loot they carry.

you’re able to also now find or spawn piglins in the overworld. To prevent them from zombifying you can give them netherwart or throw an awkward potion at them. Otherwise, you’d better get ready for a battle.
5Piglin Bosses
There are two new piglin bosses: Malgosha and Great Hog. Both are difficult to defeat alone without decent gear so verify to prepare.
Great Hog
The Great Hog has an arm cannon which fires a volley of fireballs that set on fire anything in their way. This includes other Piglins, so if you can move swiftly you can get him to take out some of the spares. He also has a punch attack which he will use when you are in melee range.
Once defeated, the Great Hog drops gold ingots, blocks of gold or iron, blaze rods, ender pearls, coal, diamons, netherite ingots or netherite upgrades.
Malgosha
Malgosha conjures and throws fireballs and has a sweeping attack which knocks players back. She can also summon any of the new piglin types for support so you can quickly end up outnumbered. Malgosha won’t zombify in the Overworld.
Upon death, she drops Orbs of Dominance, her Staff or the Staff of Dominance.
4Minecraft Movie Weapons And Items
you’re able to craft and wield powerful weapons from the movie. As well as the Staff of Dominance, you can also craft a diamond battle axe, potato launcher, spear, and buck chuckets. Each one resembles the items in the movie and works the same way. Just verify you aren’t too close when firing the potato launcher, it has a very long range.
As well as the weapons, you can also craft this cute mushroom hat, which is sure to improve any skin or outfit you have equipped. All the recipes are in a handy book which you’ll be given when you enable th DLC. This book also gives you information about all the new piglin mobs.
3Elytra Race
A Minecraft Movie DLC By Spark Universe
This download, simply called A Minecraft Movie DLC, sends you into an adventure world where you spawn in an arcade and video store with Garrett behind the counter. You can explore the room, but there’s not much to do since the main focus is the three mini-games you access via the arcade machines.
Completing the course in under two minutes will unlock Garrett and Piglin skins to use in this DLC.
Elytra race gives you an elytra and starts a timer as you must navigate a mountainous course which has ghasts and piglins along the route. All you may do is steer and hope for the best. Look out for shortcuts as well as rocket and elytra boosts and try to beat your best time. The rocket will give a speed boost and the elytra will knock five seconds off your time.
2First Night Survival
First night survival puts you into the middle of a forest as it’s just about to turn night, armed with a bow and ten arrows, a terrible sword and a couple of golden apples. You are in a building of sorts, but the mobs come thick and fast. Each night more enemies will spawn and every day you’ll have to move fast to collect more resources.
Survive for two nights to unlock Dawn and eight nights to unlock Natalie skins to use in this DLC.
You’ll find resources across the map in chests, which are marked by yellow beacon beams. As you collect more items, new recipes will unlock for you to craft defenses, weapons, and traps. These include scatterers to deal AOE damage, and a set of buck-chuckets to stun, knockback and crit those pesky intruders.
1Mansion Stealth
The mansion stealth game sees you navigate a woodland mansion avoiding the patrolling illagers. They each have torches which show the field in which they can see. You’ll need good timing to avoid them as you navigate the building.
If you can get through the mansion in under three minutes, you’ll unlock Henry and villager skins.
You can climb vines, pick up helpful items, and hide inside objects by interacting with anything which has an eye icon on it. The mansion also has multiple floors, so verify to go up when you can!
