Summary

As it turns out, there’s a pretty easy way to get the cover armour fromKingdom Come: Deliverance 2early on in the game. So long as you’re okay robbing from a robber.

u/hoe-punk pointed out that you can take Gules' gearwithout much fuss, and he’ll even replace his stolen kit, “letting you steal it again.”

There are a couple of ways to pull this off. The first is simple — wait for nightfall, and you can find Gules guarding the Semine gate all by himself. Knock him out and nick his clothes. Profit. Or if you want to be more subtle, “It all goes into the chests insidethe Semine guard housewhen he goes to sleep,” (thanks, u/inertSpark).

Just be careful not to wear his armour immediately after. You’ll want to wait a few days, or they’ll notice it’s stolen.

Robbing Town Guards Is A Great Way To Level Stealth

Since everything gets reset — thankfully, like Gules' armour — you can easily boost your stealth skills with a bit of patience.

“You can rob the entire guards' barrack in any town and it’ll refresh in two or three days,” u/Taeruuu explained. “So if you wannapower level your sneak stuff early, Troskowitz guards suck. When they sleep only like four or so patrol the town so you can go and pick everyone’s pockets and unlock every chest for free XP, money, and supplies and just hide out in the house with the free bed in the town for a few days. Rinse, repeat, sell, profit.”

So, elbow a few guards at night and you can make the early game a cakewalk.
