The Look-Alike Mii Is Fun To Have

When you first create a Mii, you’re likely to make a version of you. you may name it, pick its features, and even select its voice. This Mii was previously included in your game, and you will be referred to as the “look-alike” of your Mii.

You are often the first Mii on your island. When they refer to you, the player, they call you “My look-alike.” Having a look-alike doesn’t majorly affect gameplay, but it is fun to see a version of you interacting with other Miis.

9Bizzare Mii Thoughts

The Random Humor Kept The Game Whimsical

One thing that was fun about the past Tomodachi games was the humor. You would click the thought bubble of a Mii, and they’d ask the most absurd question or have the weirdest nightmares. Sometimes you’ll catch them staring off into space because they’re thinking of food. Occasionally, they’d just randomly speak as if a dialogue was happening (and there wasn’t.)

While increased interaction between the Miis would be great, it would also be nice to make sure the original random humor was maintained to keep Living The Dream funny and whimsical.

8The Interactive Magic Show

Experience The Thrill Of Audience Participation

In previous games, players could watch a magic show at the amusement park. During the show, the magician asks the players to help with a magic trick. After sending your “magic energy,” the magician will show different variations of the “sawing someone in half trick.”

In Tomodachi Life, players use the Nintendo 3DS camera to send the “magic energy.” It would be nice to see the magic show adapted to suit the Nintendo Switch console. Maybe a different trick this time?

The pity party event from Tomodachi Life.

7Pity Parties

Cheer Your Mii Up With The Help Of Friends

One of the events that could happen in the café in Tomodachi Life was a pity party. One day a Mii will appear at the top left, looking sad and downcast. They will be accompanied by three friends who are trying to cheer them up by cracking jokes or telling funny anecdotes.

The pity party has its funny moments. After every time a Mii speaks to cheer up the sad individual, there is a pause to see if they will speak. They don’t. Cue the next cheer-up attempt. However, what is great about the pity party is how similar it is to real life. It’s just how friends would cheer up a sad member of the group, so it would be nice to see this retained in Living The Dream.

6Living Together At The Mii Apartments

Sharing Is Caring

In both Tomodachi Collection and Tomodachi Life, the main location is the Mii Apartments. This is where all Miis live and is automatically upgraded to fit up to 100 Miis. It is only in Tomodachi Life where Miis can move out. Married Miis are able to live in a house and if they have a child, they can grow up there.

The Mii Apartments allow the players to see all the quirky things their Miis do, such as sniff the air or work out. Sometimes, you can even hear them vocalize their inner-thoughts and learn about their mindset. While it would be nice for houses to also be an option again, it wouldn’t be the same if they didn’t include the apartments as well.

A round of Quirky Questions from Tomodachi Life.

5Quirky Questions

Mini Game Mayhem

Quirky Question was one of the most beloved events in Tomodachi Life due to how ridiculous it all was. Six random islanders would stand together at the observation tower to answer questions from a seventh island, who would ask a yes-or-no question made by the player.

To formulate the questions, templates are shuffled, and the player must choose to either fill in the blanks or choose to autofill. Once asked, the Miis will respond by raising or lowering their hands. Some responses are met with passionate reactions, such as a death glare or wide eyes in shock. Some may even close their eyes due to disappointment. It’s a simple game, but it’s hilarious to see how the Miis react!

4The Ability To Write Your Own Songs

We All Wanna Be A Rockstar

Tomodachi Life has gone viral more often than once due to the unique songs players make in the game. When you go to the music hall, there is an option for you to add lyrics to a song that will be performed by a Mii. You can even make a group by levelling up your Miis and assigning them the same genre.

It is a fan-favorite ability in Tomodachi Life, and fans hope to see an upgraded version of this feature in Living The Dream. While Tomodachi Life only has eight genres available, maybe more can be added to Living The Dream?

3Judgement Bay

Don’t Judge Us For Wanting This Epic Mini Game Back

Judgement Bay was another fan-favorite event included in both Tomodachi Collection and Tomodachi Life. Here, the player must write something in the sand, and the players can choose between the options by standing in a certain section. After picking, the player can either leave the event or top on the figure of a random Mii to hear them say something about their choice.

It’s a relatively simple event, but it made it feel as if you were learning more about your Miis and their personality. When the game relies mostly on random interactions and waiting for events to come, things like Judgement Bay (which can be played an unlimited number of times per day) easily becomes something to look forward to.

2Pets

Can We Keep Them This Time?

In Tomodachi Life, you may gift Miis pet vouchers. If you give them a dog voucher, a dog will visit them and play with them. You can also give them a cat voucher. Doing so will trigger a cat to pass through the Mii apartments. Cats want to be stroked with, played with, or left alone so they can sleep.

It’s always nice when a game has a furry friend, so it would be nice if pets returned to Living The Dream. However, it would be nice if Miis could adopt these animals or if more kinds of animals were included in pet vouchers.

Various characters engaging in a Rap Battle in Tomodachi Life.

1Rap Battles

We Want To Watch Miis Beef And Flex

Tomodachi Life gave us the gift of being able to watch two Miis beef it out in a rap battle. In battle, the Miis will either insult each other or flex via rhymes. If a Mii is unable to come up with a rhyme, they lose the rap battle. The length of a rap battle varies; some can end after a few bars, while some can last several verses.

The rap battle was a hilarious way to see Miis interact. The rhymes are oftentimes ridiculous and random, and yet somehow, it makes perfect sense.
