Summary

TheMonster Hunterseries has some of the best creature designs in the whole of gaming. Monsters like the Zinogre, Rathalos, Diablos, and Nergigante are all-time greats, but there are dozens of others that are perfectly designed.

OneMonster Hunter Wildsplayer, however, looked at the designs of the game’s new monsters and thought, “What would they look like if they were bald,” and so they set about doing just that.

Monster Hunter Wilds “Featherless Monsters” Mod Reimagines Monsters Without Fur And Feathers

Up until this point, Monster Hunter Wilds has had some pretty solid mods. There wasone that made the game harder, one that fixed the performance, and another thatnerfed Palicoes. This one, though, serves no purpose other than to disgust players— and we love it.

Shared onNexus Modsby creatorAziaron, the Featherless Monsters mod completely strips monsters down to their bare skin, removing fur, feathers, and other defining characteristics.

The mod affects almost 20 different monsters, both large and small, and you can see the full list below:

That’s a pretty extensive list of monsters that now look like nothing more than giant Siamese cats. Based on the images shared by Aziaron, despite being one of the game’s weaker monsters, the Congala gets our vote for most terrifying as it goes from a little pink fluffy monster, to a horrible withered pink King K. Rool, at least when it’s face-on.

I’m not sure why you’d ever want to apply this mod to your game unless you need a good laugh or want Wilds to become a horror title, but seeing as I had to see these bald monstrosities, I figured it was only fair that you had to, too.
