After a few updates featuring Natlan’s main story and a bunch of filler content,Genshin Impacthas finally revealed details about the upcoming Version 5.6 update, which will release on June 05, 2025. This update takes you back to thefirst region you set foot inafter many years.
The prologue chapter of the game takes you through the story ofMondstadt’s troubles with a dragon while introducing you to the general world of Teyvat. However, the story for the region ends fairly quickly, and you’re fully absorbed in the troubles of other nations like Liyue, Inazuma, Fontaine, and most recently, Natlan.
Natlan’s main story ends in the Version 5.3 update, followed by a few filler contents where you learn more about the region’s past with the World Quests. However, in a surprising turn of events, the Version 5.6 update takes you right back into the main story, with Mondstadt once again being the centre of attention.

Dahlia’s Model Is Finally Introduced In The Game
During the Version 5.6 update live stream, it was revealed that the update is essentially divided into two parts. On launch, players can continue the Interlude chapter of the main story, which takes them back to Mondstadt as Albedo is on trial for murder and unlawful disposal of the body. Jean, Venti, and other Knights of Favonius can be seen in a secret courtroom.
The trailer for the update also reveals, for the first time, the model for Dahlia, who’s likely playable in future updates. Travellers can also hear Varka and have further interactions with the Hexenzirkel, a secret group teased from the beginning of the game, alongside Lady Alice.
For the second part, starting on July 07, 2025, a time-limited management event will take place in Fontaine called the Whirling Waltz, where you’ll get to meet various familiar characters from the region.Natlan characters like Kinichand Ifa will also make an appearance here. you’re able to take part in various other events throughout the update as well:

With the update’s launch, you’re able to alsofind Escoffier on the limited character banner, who can also be seen in Fontaine’s management event. Ifa, the new four-star unit, is also featured on her banner. As for reruns, you can find Navia’s banner in the first half with Kinich and Raiden on the second.
The Chronicled Wish banner will also make a return, including Kamisato Ayaka, Kamisato Ayato, Yoimiya, Chiori, Yae Miko, Arataki Itto, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Kaedehara Kazuha.
