Summary

Eagle-eyedRockstarfans have spotted an interesting detail from the latest batch ofGrand Theft Auto 6screenshots, as a logo shown on the guns is a clear nod toRed Dead Redemption 2.

After the shock announcement that GTA 6 has been delayed by a whole year until next May, this month had a strong chance of being one of the worst times to be a fan of Rockstar’s open-world masterpieces. Thankfully, that disappointment was more than made up forwith a massive news drop that included a bunch of new screenshots and the long-awaited second trailer.

The surprisingly generous amount of new information for GTA 6 has given fans a ton to scour through to find as many details as possible, such as Lucia wearing AirPods and suggesting an on-foot music playeris being added andeven more evidence that Jason is a cop. One of the most interesting things, though, is a few nods to Red Dead Redemption.

I’ve Definitely Polished That Symbol Before

Earlier this week, we reported that Rockstar fans had spotted acheeky wink to Red Dead Redemption 2 in a scene where dollar bills are being thrown about in a strip club, revealing that Red Dead presidents Thaddeus Waxman and Franklin Hardin are pictured on them. That seems to just be the start of the RDR easter eggs, though.

As pointed out by Twitter user and GTA sleuth SynthPotato, two of the new screenshots for GTA 6 appear to have yet another nod to Red Dead Redemption 2. One of the screenshots shows a couple, and one of them is wielding a pistol that features a symbol that’s almost supposed to be a current version of Dukes, a weapon maker from Red Dead Redemption 2.

The Dukes symbol can also be seen on a rifle that Jason is seen wielding in another screenshot, suggesting they make more than just pistols.

If you take a close look at the pistol’s grip, you can see that a D with the same font as the Duke’s has in Red Dead Redemption 2, which is a clever little easter egg.It also supports the long-standing theory that Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto are set in the same world, one that was even alluded to in GTA 5 thanks to a book in Franklin house.
