Summary
Grand Theft Auto 6fans continue to be some of gaming’s best detectives, as a very easy-to-miss nod to one ofGTA 5’s protagonists has been spotted in one of the latest screenshots.
Whenever a newGrand Theft Autois finally on the horizon (or really, anyRockstartitle), one of the most exciting things is each game’s protagonist. Aside from Trevor, Rockstar tends to write some of the most likeable playable characters in the medium, andGTA 6’s Jason and Lucia seem to be shaping up that way already.

That being said, there are also always hopes that previous GTA protagonists and characters end up making an appearance in subsequent games. We’ve seen that before with characters like Johnny Klebitz and Patrick McReary showing up in GTA 5, leaving fans to wonder if the same will happen in GTA 6, but on a bigger scale with any of its three protagonists popping in for a cameo.
The Film That Michael Helped Make Has Been Spotted In GTA 6
Let’s Hope We See Even More Of His Work
Out of GTA 5’s three protagonists, Michael de Santa is the one that everybody wants to see considering he never made an appearance in GTA Online like Trevor and Franklin did. Well, despite what Ned Luke has said about returning to the roleand the fact we have no idea what Michael’s up to in GTA 6’s timeline, we do at least know his legacy lives on in Vice City.
As spotted by the eagle-eyed Merstty on the GTA 6 subreddit, one of the new videos on the official GTA 6 website shows Jason robbing some kind of store. If you look very carefully at the DVDs on a shelf behind him, you can see the cover for Meltdown, the movie thatMichael helped produce (kind of) with Solomon Richards towards the end of GTA 5.
I have no idea how people spot this stuff -kudos to all of the detectives scouring through GTA footage and screenshots.
While Michael’s name isn’t actually on the cover for Meltdown,it’s still something he had a hand in makingand seemed like just the start of his career in movies. It’s a clear nod to the character, and one that will hopefully be met with even more movies that he’s worked on in the time since GTA 5. Perhaps Vice City might even have some opportunities for Michael that give him the chance to meet next year’s models.
