GTA 6 Delayed To July 15, 2025

For the first time in its history, Grand Theft Auto 6 has a release date. That release date is June 15, 2025.

It’s likely to disappoint long-time, eagerly-anticipating fans, but the news will equally come as no surprise, as Rockstar is a regular when it comes to delaying its games for perfection.

The statement released by Rockstar says:

The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game.

“With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve. We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.”

GTA 6 was initially slated for release in 2025; however, as time went on and Rockstar’s silence continued, that release window seemed increasingly unlikely.

Almost every Rockstar game in history has been delayed at some point, with the infamousGTA 4 delay still mentioned by its development team to this date.

Now let the speculation about the next trailer begin. Undoubtedly, fans will try and decipher some code from Rockstar’s message, and the cycle will begin anew.
