“I’ve taken a break because it’s gotten pretty bad. When the game first came out, I did not have issues with frame rates, now it’s choppy, 20 fps on high, 40 fps on steam deck settings (yes, the pc version has steam deck settings, I do not mean the steam deck itself), I just want to go back to a comfortable 60 like it was a couple months ago,” onesaid.

Speaking on the Helldivers Discord (viaVideogamer), Arrowhead CEO Jorjani said, “We are 100% aware performance aint great now. We’re tracking closely and have numerous things in motion. We’ll be sharing details on what we’ll do in the not-too-distant future.”

Jorjani’s message was obviously met with impatience from the Helldivers' community, as the game’s QA lead followed up on the CEO’s message, saying, “Just because we have a fix, doesn’t mean we can ship it without introducing the risk of more issues. Sometimes it’s better to hold onto it and let it cook.”
