Summary

Hollow Knightfans, you know the drill at this point. Yes, once again, I come to you bearing news aboutHollow Knight: Silksong. And once again, that news isn’t that the game is complete and actually launched five minutes ago.

No, instead, theSteampage was just updated… to remove the trailer. Yes, that’s right. The Steam page now has less information on it, because why not?

Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Trailer Has Been Removed From Steam, For Some Reason

Well… I suppose that counts as a Steam page update?

This development was spotted byDexertoearlier today, and true enough, the trailer is still absent fromthe Steam page. Nothing has been added in its place, and it’s not like Team Cherry would have to remove it if it was going to add another, so this is all very confusing.

If I’m putting on my tinfoil hat for a second here, maybethe trailer was removed because the next one is going to show a new and improved version of Silksong, and Team Cherry doesn’t want something outdated alongside it. That’satheory anyway, and one that is based on pretty much nothing, so take it for what you will. We’re all grasping at straws here.

This is not the only odd Silksong occurrence we’ve seen this year. The game’s Nintendo eShop pagecompletely disappeared earlier this year, only to return after a few hours. Despite some hope that this was in preparation for a release date reveal, that never came.

The good news is that there are a few signs pointing to it launching this year. It briefly appeared at the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, outright stating it would be a 2025 release. While it has been delayed before, an insider is saying thatSilksong is hitting Xbox Game Pass this June, so there’s a very real chance that we’ll be playing it soon.
