There’s plenty that goes into figuring out how best to use everyone’s directly offensive moves when you take a team out for battle inThe Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, but just because they’re finished attacking actively doesn’t mean that teammate is finished receiving battle perks.

With all your teammates in the Last Defense Academy equipped with their own passive skills in battle, you’d do well to pay sharp attention to these additional abilities. Whether it’s a boost to attack or defense, or even the ability to retry waves you’re not confident in, passive skills can be a true game-changer.

Passive Skills Can Turn Tides In Battles

Since you’re defending the schooland the secrets it holds from wave after wave of school invaders in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, you’d do well to get acquainted with all elements of using your teammates in battle, sinceeach teammate has their own passive abilityin battle as well as a series of their own attacks and quirks.

Since you’re playing as Takumi, your passive is the ability to redo the battles, but every teammate other than your character has a passive ability that can and often will contribute to their performance in each wave of your fights.

Some passive skills you’ll see in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy arestat booststhat come on the heels of offensive attacks - like Takemaru, for example, who gains a bit of armor for every school invader he hits on his turn in battle. Other times, you’ll see passives that offerdirect buffs, like with Eito who receives a buff after his turn.

Be sure toweigh passive skills in your offensive decisions on turns that don’t end waves of battles, becauseif there are still school invaderson the field when you run out of AP, then they’re going to be attacking you, your teammates, and your school barrier when you’re finished moving and give them a chance to as well. You saw the clear conditions before the fight - while some dying is good in these fights to provide some additional Voltage for the surviving teammates, too much loses the battle outright.

If you know damage is imminent for a character that has a passive skill that boosts their defense and still want to deal some damage, then you may want to allow a teammate that will be hit on the next turn but who also boosts their defense with their passive skill move on that turn, giving them a few Attack Points' worth of time to act defensively while attacking offensively.

Use your teammate’s passives not only to boost their attacks, but todiminish damage taken on enemy turnsin fights. While you’ll always find that outright defending (or simply dashing out of the way of their area of effect, which you can see by clicking on each school invader for more info) is best, passives can save your teammateswhen push comes to shove.
