Path of Exile 2Dawn of the Hunt is the first league of the game that Grinding Gear Games released on Jul 14, 2025. This new league introduced the class Huntress, new Ascendancies for existing classes, new support gems, and new mechanics to enjoy.

Rogue Exiles Explained
If you have played Path of Exile 2, you will know that the whole game revolves around an exile who managed to survive an execution and fight their way to glory by defeating the evil of the kingdom. You are the hero of the world and will always strive to use your power for good.
However, there areother exiles as well, who are not so goodand use their powers for nothing but selfish needs.These are the Rogue Exiles, who, just like you, have the ability to use skills, abilities, unique items, and builds. The only difference is that they are hostile, and they will try to kill you if you cross paths with them.
Each of the Rogue Exiles is unique, and as of Dawn of the Hunt, Grinding Gear Gameshas added 12 of them. These Rogue Exiles are NPC characters, and theirAI is much more advancedwhen compared to the other enemies in the game.
The Unique items worn by the Rogue Exiles will be written at the bottom of their health bar. This means you can choose to fight them or skip depending on whether they are wearing a Unique item that fits your builds. However, Rogue Exiles with the best gear will also be a lot more difficult to defeat.
This means that if you fight them, they willuse advanced movement mechanicsalongside dodges and rolling to avoid your skills while using smart tactics to land their offense. TheseRogue Exiles will have builds just like you and every other player in the server, which means they will have access to everything that you have as well.
The fights are tough, but if you win, all the gear they are wearing will be yours. However, if you lose, then they will run away with the spoils.
Rogue Exiles is theclosest experience you will get to PvP in this game.
How To Find Rogue Exiles
Rogue Exiles can only be found in the endgameafter you have reached maps after completing the campaign. You will have to initially go through Act 1 to Act 3 and then play it once again in Cruel Mode to unlock maps.
There is no specific spawn guide sincethey will be available randomly while you are exploring maps. As such, the only way to find them is by ensuring you go through every corner of a map when you get into the endgame grind and hope they spawn for you.
Do Rogue Exiles Have Fixed Drops?
Yes,the drops of Rogue Exiles are fixed, and the builds are pre-determined by the developers. They caninclude standard Magic Gear or some really rare Uniques, but there is no guarantee which one will spawn for you when they eventually appear while exploring maps.
The concept of Rogue Exiles isn’t new to this game, as the original Path of Exile also had them, and their builds were usually based on whatever was the meta among the actual players.
It is also important to clarify here that thebuilds of the Rogue Exiles will be changed when a new league becomes availablein the future.
