WhileMonopoly Gohas had daily leaderboard tournaments going on since Scopely launched the game in April 2023, the mechanic received a big overhaul in May 2025, adding an extra competitive element to the daily leaderboards with the introduction of the Tycoon Express and Tycoon Class systems.
Competing regularly in the leaderboard tournaments will help increase your Tycoon Class faster in Monopoly Go, since you’ll earn points toward First Class for each leaderboard on which you do well. Reaching First Class on the Tycoon Express increases the rarity of the rewards you’ll be competing for on daily leaderboard tournaments afterwards.
What Is The Tycoon Express?
Introduced on July 16, 2025 during the Star Wars sticker album season in Monopoly Go, the Tycoon Express is a new, additive layer tothe daily leaderboard tournamentsin which we’ve participated regularly. It introduces something of anupgraded rewards systemfor the tournaments, while making some pretty nice changes to tournaments as we know them.
While the daily leaderboard competitions used to pit you against 99 other players, the Tycoon Express competition leaderboards slims things down by move than half, offering regularcontests betweenyou and 34 other players. Like the leaderboards, they’ll refresh every one to two days to keep things moving for your Tycoon Class score.
You’ll continue to earn daily tournament prizes from these Tycoon Class tournaments like we did before, with40 milestone rewardsto earn as you accumulate points for the tournament. Earn enough to beat out your competitors and you’ll earnleaderboard prizesas well once that day’s tournament comes to a close, just like before.
As always, as you continue to place higher on the daily leaderboards under the Tycoon Class system, therewards still scale as you move up the leaderboard, but that’s where the Tycoon Class system is seeking to change things for the daily tournaments in Monopoly Go.
Tycoon Classes Are A Seasonal Tier System
Like before, daily tournaments in Monopoly Go will always offer a slew of free in-game rewards, such as a few thousandfree dice rolls, stickers thatget increasingly rareras you reach higher milestones, and lump-sum cash payouts based onyour current net worth. If there are special events happening, you’ll earn a steady supply of free event tokens for those as well.
Now, though, with the Tycoon Express, you’ll alsoearn points toward increasing your Tycoon Classas grand prizes. At the end of each leaderboard tournament, you’ll be rewarded with Tycoon Class tokens on a sliding scaledetermined by where you placed on the leaderboardfor the day.
Naturally,finishing higher on the leaderboardduring any given tournament will yield more points. Daily tournaments will pay out with Tycoon Class points in the following denominations.

Earning a total five points for your Tycoon Class will boost you up intoFirst Classon the Tycoon Express in Monopoly Go, which means you’ll beginearning better prizes in the daily leaderboardsfor the duration of your stay up there. You’ll even earn a new emoji just for moving up on the Tycoon Express, too!
Like most seasonal systems like this,the Tycoon Express will refresh periodically, meaning you’ll need to earn your Tycoon Class back at the beginning of every new Tycoon Express season. They seem to be themed based on the current sticker album season, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Tycoon Express system refreshes with each new season.
