InClair Obscur: Expedition 33, you meet all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures. This includes the White Nevrons, who typically need your help when you meet them. One such creature is a bourgeon, which you may meet at the Small Bourgeon area on the continent map.
The creature lives up to the name of the area, as it’s much smaller than the average bourgeon. Yet, all hope isn’t lost for the beast, as it can get bigger. All it needs is some bourgeon skin, which is exactly what the creature asks you for. Here is how you can obtain some.
Where To Find Bourgeon Skin
The way you acquire someBourgeon Skinis bykilling a bourgeon. There are a few of them in the game, but the first one you may face isin the Flying Waters region.
To reach it, head tothe Lumiere Street flagwithin the region. You will have passed this while playing through the story, so you will be able to fast travel there once you’re in Flying Waters.
Once you’re at the flag, don’t head into the wide open space where there are fallen buildings and such. Instead, head in the opposite direction, where there arebuildings that haven’t quite fallen down on either side of you.
Between them is a stone path. Follow that for a bit until youreach a street light.Next to it are some big bits of seaweed.Go through the gap in the seaweedto find where the bourgeon is waiting.
You don’t have to kill this specific bourgeon, as any will work.
Fighting A Bourgeon
Bourgeons are huge and have fairly hefty health bars. However,they aren’t as dangerous as they look.
Its attacks involvetrying to smash you with its limbs, spitting things at you, and eating one of your party members.
The first two aren’t too difficult to dodge once you figure out the timing. As forthe eating attack, you can’t seem to dodge it, but it doesn’t actually hurt the character; it simplyremoves them from the battle until the bourgeon spits them out.
From an offensive standpoint, you shouldfocus on using lightning attacks, as that is the bourgeon’s weakness. So,Gustave’sOverchargeability and anyone with a lightning weaponare key to this battle.
How To Use Bourgeon Skin
Once you defeat the bourgeon, you willautomatically receive its skin. So, you need toreturn to The Small Bourgeon area, which is to the east of Flying Waters. When you get there,interact with the small bourgeonto give it the skin.
After that, leave andwait for a while—perhaps rest at a camp—then return to see that the little bourgeon is enormous now.Talk with it again to get your reward.
