Genshin Impactgets updated every six weeks on average with new content, but the most fun updates are where the map gets extended and a new area is added since you get to explore the beautiful world of Teyvat again. During the version 5.5 update, the Atocpan region was added in Natlan.
While exploring this area, you’ll notice a small island on its bottom left edge where you can find a Secret Source Dragon puzzle with a luxurious chest. If you want to unlock this chest, you’ll have to solve a small maze before fighting the dragon boss.
How To Reach The Maze Puzzle Area
After unlocking the map of Genshin Impact, you’ll notice a big gap between the mainland of Atocpan and the tiny island at the bottom. you’re able to easily cross this gap if you have certaincharacters, mainly Furina. But there’s also a proper way to reach the island at the bottom, andit can be found on the bottom edge of the area just above it.
As you reach this area, you’ll notice a dragon circling the beach. You can eitheruse Varesa/Iansan or turn yourself into one of the Tatankasaurus on the beach, and charge at the shiny pistons on the side of this dragon. When you do that a few times, you can get the exquisite chest on its body and use it to reach the bottom island.
How To Solve The Maze Puzzle
After you reach the island, head to the center part, and you’ll see another Secret Source Dragon in a big arena. you may activate this puzzle byinteracting with the mechanism in front of the dragon’s face. This will trigger a maze where you’ll see your final mechanism on a gap to the right, butyou won’t be able to go there because of a barrier.
Instead, you have to start heading to the left side and go all the way around. While doing this, you’ll notice various lights on the floor and pistons on the wall. If you step into these lights, thepistons will trigger and shoot a barrier at you that deals quite a lot of damage.
Go through this left path up, then right, and thenall the way back down while avoiding these lights as much as possible. When you’re past midway, some lights will also start flickering in and out. You can also justuse Varesa or Iansan and charge through these pistons to break them instead.
Alternatively, you can just use a strong shielder and run through the maze as thedamage from pistons will likely not be able to break your shield.
Once you interact with the second mechanism, themaze will end and a boss fight will trigger.
How To Defeat The Vagrant Secret Source Dragon Idol
During the fight, you’ll find the arena covered with walls as the Secret Source Dragon bossgoes in and out of it while shooting piston barriers at you. There are two ways to defeat this boss:
Once you defeat the Vagrant Secret Source Dragon Idol boss, you canclaim the luxurious chest on its headand finish this puzzle.
