Act Three is possibly the most expansive of the three Acts that startPath of Exile 2, with a wide range of complex boss fights, areas, and things to find. Many of theseboss fights are optional, while certain ones will need to be completed to complete the Act.
The Queen of Filth is one of the Act Three bosses, and she’s capable of dealing a considerable amount of damage in a short amount of time. On top of that, she’s capable of summoning minions to her aid during the fight, making the smaller safe area on the ground around her that much smaller.

Where To Find The Queen Of Filth
The Queen of Filth is found in the first half of Act Three,in the Apex of Filth, which is an areafound in The Drowned City. The Apex of Filth is full of minions you’ll need to fight through before you get to the Queen, located on the opposite side of the area from where you enter.
Preparing For The Queen Of Filth
The primary concern in the Queen of Filth fight is the small area in which the fight takes place, combined withall the ground effects that she disperses constantly throughout the fight. It can be difficult to reliably maneuver around the area, dodging her attacks without dodging directly into a ground effect can be a challenge.
Every Queen Of Filth Attack
The Queen of Filth has quite a few attacks, and understanding what she’s about to do the moment before she does it can be the difference between life and death.
How To Avoid
Flatten
The Queen of Filth will say ‘flatten’ before she attempts to, in fact, flatten you with her hammer. This one is easily enough avoided bydodging in any direction other than directly in front of her.
To Your Queen
She’ll yell ‘to your Queen’ or ‘brethren, to me’ fairly often, summoning a small horde of minions to herfrom the only entrance to the small arena that you’re fighting in. There’s no avoiding this, so try to just get into a position where you can handle a bigger fight.
Tenderize
This attack has herslam her hammer once, then flip over the hammer and slam again. The spot where she flips is going to become a ground hazard, causing medium damage if you stand inside.Dodge to the side to avoid this, and be careful not to leap right into it afterward.
Grind You Up
This is one of her easier attacks to avoid; with this, she justswings a hand sideways, and then slams her hammer straight into the groundin front of her. There is a bigger area of effect (AoE) on this than usual, so justdodge further away with this than you would Flatten.
Rot
This is a less usual attack, but she’s still going to do it a few times throughout the fight. Here, she creates another ground effect in a circle; these can have varying effects, all eitherdebuffing you in a myriad of ways or dealing a different type of damagewhile you’re inside. Avoid taking the risk of standing inside one to deal some damage to her.
Ground Explosions
Throughout the fight, orange, burning chunks of ground are going to form lines across the small arena. Without much warning, she’ll detonate these in a linestarting from her. They will alsodetonate if you stand on top of them. If you need to cross these lines, dodge over them horizontally and quickly, to lessen the chance of her doing this while you’re on them.
Tips For Defeating The Queen Of Filth
Certain bosses you might need totweak your builda little bit in order to get over the finish line; that isn’t usually the case with the Queen of Filth. Shedoes not have any particularly difficult attacks to avoid, nor does she have any especially complex or difficult mechanics.
Watch Your Footing
The most important thing when dealing with the Queen of Filth is towatch your footing. More than half of the area is going to be covered with a negative effect for large portions of the fight, and accidentally standing inside one is a good way to find yourself restarting the fight.
Attack only when you can safely do so. Approach the fight with patience, and don’t take the unnecessary risk of AoE damage that’s easily avoided. These different AoE’s can compound at the same time and take you from full health to dead immediately.

Deal With Her Minions Quickly
When shesummons her minions, it’seasy to fall into the trap of trying to ignore themif you have a chance at dealing damage to her. If the floor wasn’t covered in damaging effects, this wouldn’t be as harmful.
But, because so much footing is covered in negative effects, the minions are going to fill the space around you that likely isn’t, further reducing your ability to move, and damaging you all the while.Take a couple of seconds to deal with them, while keeping an eye on the Queen of Filth’s attacks.
