You’re not done withFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timeonce you’ve completed its main story. Far from it, in fact. Some things can’t be handled until afterward, while others, like mastering all Lives, probably won’t have been achieved until post-credits.
One large-scale activity thatdoesneed to wait until postgame is the deactivation of Sealed Areas. Throughout Fantasy Life i, you will bump into plenty of these, but you’ll need Dark Fire to break the barriers and reap the rewards. We’re working our way through these, and alongside help from fellow sleuths, we’re charting each one to help you prioritize your picks.

This guide is a work in progress!
How To Break Purple Seals
Purple Sealsare those peskypurple-tinted barriersthat you will surely encounter inThe Depths,in certain caves, and in a handful of other locations throughout Fantasy Life i.
You’ll see onewhen you’re in The Depths (B1) for the first time, as it’s straight en route to your earliest plot-related destination here. Interact with it - or any other Purple Seal - and you’ll be told thatthere’s presently no way to get through. Something along those lines, in any case.

In truth, you can’t get past any of these barriers until postgame. This is becauseyou must speak with Edward back at Base Camp, onlyafterfinishing the story, to get your first Stone Slate.
Head toFort Gardhartafter you’ve beaten the game, whereShadow-type monsters will spawn, each with a chance of droppingDark Fire. Via Dark Fire, you can begin cracking open those seals; but be warned, each seal requires a set amount of Dark Fire, and the costs can get pretty high.
You canreseta room’s Shadow monsters by exiting the room and re-entering. This applies to most places in Fantasy Life i, but it’s especially handy here. Get that Dark Fire a bit faster!
There’s another way to get Dark Fire:there will be a random chance of finding it in Treasure Grove stages. This, too, will only happen during postgame; we prefer the Shadow monsters, but it’s an easy (if equally time-consuming) source.
All Sealed Areas
This is awork-in-progress. The community is finding these bit by bit, and as are we. We’ll update the list as we unlock further Purple Seals, but grinding for Dark Firedoestake some real time!
