When you’re creating your character and starting a new life inFantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll need to tailor your digital self exactly how you want to look. The problem is that while you might go into this knowing which life you want to lead, things change, and you might want to change your look to match your new sense of self.
The good news is that you can eventually change your appearance; the bad news is that it’s not right away. Here’s everything you need to know about changing your character’s appearance, as well as how to customise your outfits.
When Can You Change Your Appearance?
Once you’veprogressed past the Chapter Three story quest ‘Digging Up Secrets of the Past’and shortly after you’ve met up with the legendary miner, resulting in you getting the Sturdy Wheelbarrow, you’ll be prompted toreturn to the Base Camp in the present time.
There you’ll find your little friends have been busy, and you’ve got a new Guild building to explore. You can’t use the services here right away, as you’ll have to go and cure your Strangeling and build a home first, but afterwards you’ll be able to change your appearance.
How To Change Your Appearance
You can go to theGuild in Base Camp and speak with Boyle on the left-hand sideto change your appearance.
From there, you’re able to customise your character fully to the same degree you did when creating them,including changing your name, physical appearance, and voice.
You can also change your Island Name via Boyle.
How To Change Your Outfit
If you want to change how your character looks in terms of their outfit, fortunately, you’re not stuck representing the best gear you have; you can choose to be as fashion-forward as you please.
From the main menu, you can choose ‘Outfits’ and then create a new outfit for each Life you have unlocked. You willretain the stats of the armor and items you have equipped, but the Outfits option allows you to change your physical appearance so you can mix and match clothes to create whole new looks.
