When you think of Samurai and the qualities they’re meant to embody, honour is one of the first things that will come to your mind. However, not all Samurai inAssassin’s Creed Shadowsare as honourable asYasukeand you will encounter a whole heap of them in the Stealing Samurai side quest.

This quest will see you help a local after she’s been wronged by Samurai in the area, and you’ll be rewarded plentifully for your efforts with money and resources. Defeating these Samurai isn’t easy, as you’ll need to kill a lot of them to complete this side quest, but here’s how to find and complete the Stealing Samurai side quest in AC Shadows.

How To Start ‘Stealing Samurai’

To start Stealing Samurai, you’ll need to have completed the story’s first act and be able toswitch between Naoe and Yasuke.

You can start the quest with either character and to do so, travelnorth-east of the Hideout into the Yamato region. The quest is foundsouth of Koriyama and north of Katsuragi. It’s hard to miss, as theWeary Farmerwho gives you the quest will try and hail you down when you pass by her home.

Speak to the Weary Farmerand she’ll explain that Samurai have been terrorising her and the local community. You offer to help and the quest begins. In total, you’llneed to kill 100 Samuraito complete this quest. The side quest is tracked in the People of Yamato objective board and is split into three parts.

Thankfully, you don’t need to kill 100 Samurai Daisho for this quest, any enemies found around these castles and temples will do.

Samurai arefound in castles and templesand killing any guards around these areas will also count. Additionally, Samurai enemies can be found at random when travelling on Yamato’s country roads and these count, too.

Only Samurai killed in the Yamato region count towards the 100 required for this quest, so be sure to stay in this region when completing this quest.

The best tactic to finding Samurai to kill is totravel around the map and complete the viewpointsto reveal areas where enemies are located. These will be shown asred diamonds on the mapand while not all of them will be Samurai, most will. Go around the points where you know Samurai will be and when you’ve completed a lap, go back to the first area and repeat.

When it comes to killing the samurai, Naoe and Yasuke both have their benefits so whichever playstyle you prefer using will determine the best approach to go with.

How To Complete ‘Stealing Samurai’

Once you’ve completed the third objective of Stealing Samurai, return to theWeary Farmer.Speak to her and you’ll explain that the Samurai won’t be a problem for her anymore. She’ll keep her word andreward you with gold and 2,000 Mon.
