There are some secret places inRunescape: Dragonwildsthat are pretty hard to locate. One of them is the Fractured Plains Vault, which is not only hard to locate but is challenging to complete, too. This specific vault’s entrance is hidden behind some rocks. you’re able to either use your pickax or the Rocksplosion spell to remove some of them first.

Now that the entrance is visible, the harder part comes next. This vault not only features treasure chests and vault cores, but it also features four Dragonkin Effigies that give you ancient knowledge. Here, we will provide you with a complete walkthrough of the Fractured Plains Vault.

How To Complete The Fractured Plains Vault

This vault can be foundby going south to the L of the Plains on the map. It will be hidden behind some rocks. you’re able to use the Rocksplosion spell to destroy some of them and then use your pickax to clear the rest.

If you die in the vault, all of your items will be transferred to the entrance for you to collect.

First Vault Core Location

After entering the vault, goto the right corridor and take a right, and you will enter a cave-type area. From the right, you will be able to detect a vault guardian. Use your bow to defeat him, and then another guardian will aggro. Defeat him using your bow, too, and thenfollow the path on the left.

In front of you will be another guardian and two giant rats. Defeat them,go up the stairs, and take a right. Open the chest, thengo back and make your way ahead. There will be a door on your left featuring many traps. With precise timing and some dodge rolls,cross the traps and go straight.

On your left will be the first Dragonkin Effigy;interact with it to get the recipe for Palandin’s Platebody. Now,go back and take a left; there will be even more traps. Use your dodge rolls toget past the traps and head straight. Crouch to go ahead; there will be some more traps, so time your sprint and go past them. There will be some Dwellberries and other materials; collect them if you want, and then go back.

Now,on your right, there will be another room; don’t cross the traps just yet. First, shoot the guardians with your bow and damage them as much as possible. They will make their way toward you and will take some damage from the traps.There will be four vault guardians, so using the traps in your favor is ideal here.

After defeating them, head inside the room and kill the giant rats. Then,interact with the Dragonkin Effigy right in front of youto get the recipe for the Paladin’s Helm. After that,loot the chest on your leftand go up the stairs. The first Vault Core and a chest will be on your left.

Second Vault Core Location

After collecting the Vault Core,go inside the room just ahead and take a left; there will be more traps here. Cross the traps,take a left, and loot the chest. After you are done with that,go right and then enter the cave-like place on your east side. Go down, defeat the giant rats, and collect any material you want to.

Make sure todefeat the Vault Sentinelsin this area to freely use your Windstep spell.

Then, on the left near the rune stones,apply the Windstep spell and jump.On your left is the room with a leverto open the gate to the final Vault Core. Before going there, go straight and use the Windstep magic again andgrab the Vault Core right in front of you.

Then use the Windstep magic again to travel the pathway on your right andmake your way to the Dragonkin Effigy. Interact with it to get the recipe for Paladin Platelegs. Now go back to the room with the lever andgo straight to enter the room that was locked before.

Third Vault Core Location

After you have unlocked the room, enter it;there will be a Vault Archon and a Sentinel. Defeat the Sentinel first and then shift your full focus on the boss. Use your weapon that deals the most damage, preferably a one-handed weapon,so you can also equip a shield.

Fight this enemy at close range and block with your shield whenever it attacks. Make sure to run if you see the ground shaking around you. After you have defeated the enemies inside the room,take the last Vault Core. Then,go to the right, loot the chest, and interact with the Dragon Effigyto get the recipe for the Wild Scout’s Shortbow.
