Repentance is the second major update for the Janthir Wilds expansion inGuild Wars 2. Following the defeat of the Titans in Janthir Syntri, the commander and allies travel across the Janthir Isles to the Mistburned Barrens to solve the mystery behind the dying Ura’s words.
While in the Mistburned Barrens, you’ll come across a variety of new materials, some of which can be used to craft the True Sight armor set. Below, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about this armor set, including how to get its recipes and what materials you’ll need to craft it.
If you don’t want to bother with crafting, you’re able to buy every piece of this armor set from the Trading Post. However, it’s much cheaper to craft it yourself.
How To Get True Sight Armor Recipes
The recipe books for the True Sight armor can be purchased fromKodan Landspeaker in Mistburned Barrensafter completing theAlliance Staging Ground Renowned Heart.
Each recipe costs 40 Research Notes, and you’ll need to re-complete the Heart to access the vendor again on a different day, if you need to buy more recipes.
Using the True Sight armor recipe unlocks the recipe for all three weight classes, so you only need to buy each armor piece recipe once. In total, you’ll need240 Research Notesto get all of the recipes.
How To Craft True Sight Armor
Here’s a breakdown of the materials required to craft each piece of the True Sight armor set.

To craft the whole armor set, you’ll need30 Vials of Melted Liquid Obsidianand1,140 Research Notes(240 for the recipes and 900 for the armor pieces).
Crafting an armor piece of one weight class willunlock the skin for the other two weight classes, so youonly need to craft one set of armor. This will also complete theTrue Sight Armor Collector Achievement, earning you a total of10 Achievement Points.
How To Get Vials of Titan Melted Liquid Obsidian
Vials of Titan Melted Liquid Obsidian can be crafted by any crafting Discipline (except Chef) using the following materials.
To craft all six pieces of armor, you’ll need150 Mursaat Obsidian Chunksand150 Titan Heatstones.
Mursaat Obsidian Chunks and Titan Heatstone can both be gathered fromresource nodes in Mistburned Barrens, or obtained in Caches that drop from events and activities in the map. You can also purchase them directly from the Trading Post.
You also have a chance to get these materials when gathering any node in Mistburned Barrens if you have theBearkin Harvesting Techniques Masteryunlocked.
