There are hundreds of enemies to slay inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, and each presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate your skills. All of which are encountered in the open world or in dungeons and caves across Avalon. However, you can also engage with optional bosses for unique gear and benefits.

One early optional boss is Abigor, who will offer to duel. Taking him up on this is challenging, as he’s no easy foe to defeat. However, we’ll help you not only challenge him, but emerge victorious so you may claim some fabulous loot early on in your adventure.

Where To Find Abigor

After landing in the Horns of the South, head west along the pathtowards the keep. After passing the first ruined gate, you canfind a man in full armor sitting in the ruinsby an abandoned market. By himself, with only a lantern for company, you canstrike up a conversation.

Abigor willtell you his life story, about how he served his lady well and she kept him close. However, he has since been dismissed from her service and islooking for a duel. He extends the invitation to you, offering youa swift and honorable death(which is much more than the Red Death will grant you).

Should You Kill Abigor?

While it may seem like an unnecessary fight,it’s worth trying out.Abigor is tough, but he has someexcellent gear that will serve you wellas you progress through the first act.

Between hisglowing red sword and his enchanted shield, you’ll have your work cut out for you.Getting in close is a very bad idea, so keep your distance andutilize throwing knives. A few may bounce off the shield, but many will strike true.

You canuse spells to summon alliesthat can help or you candrain Abigor’s health to heal yourselfwhile waiting to recover your stamina.

Once Abigor has fallen, loot his body to obtain his gear. When you remove it all, you’ll notice thatAbigor was affected by the Red Death, which is likely why he wasfar from town and eager to fight. Killing him is an honorable way to end his life after all those years of service, so don’t feel bad.

You’ll obtain the following loot from the late knight. Use it well:

Thearmor is quite heavy, so you may not be able to wear it all right away.
