You can start this bonus mission by going to the Vitalon Residence in the Capital City of Vitalon.

There are two Soulstones in this area and a Jarling. It also features a pretty annoying elite enemy. Here we will provide you with a complete walkthrough of where to find the Soulstones, Jarling, and how to defeat the enemies.

How To Complete The Birth Of Evil Quest

Jarling Location

After activating the first Blade Nexus, follow the path east to the stairs and you will meet some enemies. Beware of their spinning attack as it can deal a lot of damage. Defeat them and go straight. There will be some chaos matter around: hit the one on the left and quickly run away.

After it explodes, take the riposte on the enemy to the left and then destroy the one on the right. After that, follow the path to the left, destroying the chaos matter on the way if you want, and thenaggro the enemy on the right.

This enemy will have a lot of health, so lure him a little to the left, destroy the chaos matter, and step away. He will be caught in the explosion, souse that opportunity to damage him and then take the riposte. Defeat the enemy, then take care of the sharpshooters.

There will bea chest behind the sharpshooterwho was shooting you from the north. Get that and then go up the staircase that was right in front of the Double-Edged Butcher you just defeated. There you will see some jars on the ground, destroy them and the Jarling will be revealed.

You may have noticed the staircaseeast of the Double-Edged Butcher. Go down and there will be even more chaos matters. Destroy the one in the middle to stagger all the surrounding enemies. Defeat the enemies anddestroy the chaos matter on the right to absorb some Lacrima.

Then go back, take a right, and then go to the left. Destroy the cart to open the way to the staircase. Go up and destroy the first Soulstone. Now,head downstairs and go east.An elite enemy, Lunatic Destroyer, will come running your way, but there is one chaos matter that can help you tremendously in battle.

How To Defeat The Elite Enemy

Lure the enemy near the matter and destroy it to stagger him. Then, perform some combos on him and take the riposte. This way,you are likely to take around 50 percent of his health. After that, perform another combo on him as he will restore his stamina.

If you hear a weird sound and don’t get any sign on the screen, that would mean the enemy is going for a grab attack. It is extremely fast, so verify to dodge backwards as soon as you see his hand reaching you.His swings are extremely slow and can disrupt your rhythm entirely, so we recommend dodging them instead of parrying.

He has an annoying combo wherehe would charge his first hit and instantly strike again. Then he would delay the third hit and follow up with a quick hit. He would then follow up with yet another delayed hit.

If you dodge this combo, he can extend it by adding a sixth really delayed hit.

He also hasan attack that can’t be dodged or parried. The elite enemy will leap toward you and then charge his weapon. This attack is delayed, sotime your counterattack accordingly.

He also has some normal weapon slam attacks that you can dodge.

Defeat this elite enemy, pick up all the loot, andhead up the stairs west of where you absorbed the Lacrima.

Second Soulstone Location

Enter the Nobles' Manor and activate the Blade Nexus. Now, head up the stairs, destroy the barricades, and keep ascending. Defeat the enemies that are shooting fire arrows at you first. Here, you need tobe aware of the Knivesveil Outlaw, as he is pretty strong.

However, if you can perform long combos on him,he won’t be able to do much. Make sure to run away as soon as he starts the combo with a kick.

Knivesveil Outlaw also has an attack that can’t be dodged or parried. His attack has a follow-up, too, so if you get hit, you are in trouble.

After defeating all the enemies, destroy the Soulstonethat can be found in the room on the back side of the pillar northeast of the staircase (you may have already destroyed it during the fight). Then, open the door to the east, defeat the enemies and thengo down the staircase to get Augment of Wisdom.

After picking up the item, go up the staircase and approach the door right in front of you. Now, before going in, go to the left and open the chest. After that, open the door, absorb the Lacrima, and activate the Blade Nexus.

How To Defeat Gilsan

Gilsan isn’t that difficult of a boss, butyou may have trouble at the start as there are some more enemies in the arena. So, instantly run toward the one shooting at you just ahead and kill him. Then, quickly make your way to the one who is on the staircase. Defeat him, and you will have a much easier time dealing with Gilsan.

Gilsan is a humanoid boss, and you stagger him constantlywith your blows. However, if you don’t manage your stamina efficiently, it can cost you a lot.

So,it is better not to underestimate Gilsan and defeat him quickly. Even if you have him staggered in your combos, he can get out and perform a drop kick, which deals massive damage. He can then follow up with his combos, which can be difficult to dodge.

Gilsan is a boss that you would want to parry as he uses daggers. He has some interesting combos with them. One is wherehe will hit you twice normally, and then perform a cross slash. In another combo, he hits you normally four times.

He also has a different variation of his leap attack. Gilsan can perform a double or a single slash on you that has a lot of poise. He can also kick you twice, which has a massive knockdown.

The most dangerous attack he can do is the one you cannot parry or dodge. He will do a leaping cross slashand follow it up with a leaping overhead slash attack.

Both of these attacks deal massive amounts of damage and can’t be dodged or parried. You can either dodge both of the hits orcounterattack any.The latter is preferableas it gives you a window to deal damage.

Overall, this fight is less likely to give you any trouble, but the key is tomaintain your stamina and not get caught by his combos and knockback attacks.

After defeating him, you may get some random pieces from the Dragonscale set, random weapons or accessories, and Transmutation Mist. You will also geta Clown’s Dagger. After the mission is completed, talk to Seona and go back to the Crevice.
